She is crazy. In fact her obsession with Chiru too was the same. I think she suffered from an inferior complex being the wife of a servant and that too a second wife and illiterate. Her peak point was giving birth to the first son because Even Rich and powerful Indu and Balwant had none.

Despite having other sons, Chiru became the central point of her focus and ambition; her aspiration as well as the medal that she felt she deserved.

Which is why I felt that her love for Chiru too had a weird undertone.

I just wonder why Cheeru was the fav child anyway. Just because he always obeyed Saroj & wasn’t an extrovert? So illogical. Kanha IMO was sorted honestly & funloving, knew what he wanted. Yes, he was pampered but not by Saroj in any way.
