It took 466 episodes, he had been there in the show as the Sita Maiyya, playing the crucial role of calling Meethi to the phone every time Imlie needed her mom's sage advice. Even if we don't see him onscreen, its just Amma holding the landline, we know he is somewhere in the background. He has been there for Meethi and Imlie more times in screen spirit than Satyakaam has been with screen space.

Aaj wo kisaa bhi khatam hua. Aryan Singh Rathore gifted his Amma in law a new IShmaartphone. So even though we are happy that Imlie or Aryan (because i know he is the kinda guy who calls his MIL like my hubby does) don't have to wait around for Daak kaka to pop in and out calling meethi through the village. I am very sad to see this interchangeable character go. Like many characters in Imlieland enrich our lives , touch our lives and then vanish in thin air without fuss. Daak kaka to bid adieu to us today without even making an appearance in body.. farewell in spirit.

So main Itna pakk chuki hoon ki I typed this long ass post for nothing.. But anyways If MV can have a farewell thread with total screen space of 2-3min whenever he appeared.. So can Daak Kaka.. Great post..The thought did cross my mind..the Daak kaka played an important role many times ..more than SM herself..he was the connection between PD and Delhi...Love his affection to Imlie and who would run to get Meethi...it's extra special..made me remember my postman from childhood..when results used to be delivered by post and not by SMS or online...at 11 am when the door opens..I used to sit by the window while he scans through the huge pile of mail and finds mine.. sometimes it's not there .other times it's there..He knows who wrote mails to whom and who got Engg and medicine and others...he was the deliverer of good and bad news...Happy times ..Loads of love to the kaka.
