Sona sounds pretentious with no authenticity just like Priyanka, so you need not worry about me veering anywhere around there.

On the off chance that I do, I'll be sure to avoid pani puris cuz I'm anyway not fond of them if I'm not having them in the streets of back in desi land, with the dust particles of polluted air clinging to everything...... with the vendor who might not have washed his hands after doing his business, as an additional cherry on top ....... and what good is street food if you don't spend the next three days in bed down with food poisoning? I know cuz that's what I did during my last trip. It was worth it!

Hmm.. I love dosa, medu vada and idli sambhar but sadly I have no places serving good ones around me 😭 Needless to say, I miss living in India which was synonymous to food heaven for me.

I get this mushroom ravioli from an Italian restaurant that I like. Its soo good. Frequently order thai green curry too. Sometimes pizza/fries

But again, nothing beats good Indian food

No.

I prefer home made food. That too simple dal, chawal aur koi simple sabjis(although I have a huge list of sabjis I don't like).

I don't like Chinese, don't like pizzas, not exactly a fan of freaking momos, have developed a hatred for paneer and so on.

Ahmedabad has the best street food and chaat in India, didn't get the hype of Mumbai in that aspect.

You haven't lived without trying Karnavati's dabeli, best in the world and hits the spot after all these years.

You get amazing Indian food here in UK though and it's developed almost on par with India.

Closer to home, there's Blue Zenzer, which is a blend of Indian-Italian, I keep ordering their Indian style Risotto.

I'd risk going to Alperton for their Street food and Indo-Chinese, awful paan stained streets but worth it for road side food and sugar cane juice/ice golas/Pani Puri. Better food in those stalls and dingy shops than the supposed fine dining you get at sit down places, if you want to rough it out.

Was surprised to find memorable food in Dorset which is not predominantly Indian, best chick pea curry I've ever tasted at this Nepalese restaurant: The 29029.

Dubai and even Doha, hands down have the best Indian food, I prefer it to Indian food in India.

Whenever I visit, the matka biryani, malai paneer, fried bhindi are staples at Govinda's. Best fine dining experience that is very reasonably priced.

Maharaja Bhog for their Rajasthani thali and all you can eat Pani Puri.

There's great little finds in the Indian areas of Dubai, near/in Meena Bazaar; Puran Mal for their chaat, can't beat their moong daal Pani Puri. And Veg World legit has the best Indian sandwiches, a take on Bombay Club sandwiches but better!
