Episode review : 11 May

Less of review.. more like a rant

Disjointed is the one word gist of episode.

So i watched episode again.

V made some good points about how he was afraid to lose her and that's why he lied, how much she matters to him and how he cares about her dreams and aspirations. How nobody was with her and he was rude to her.. chalo finally kuch to acknowledge kiya. 👏

All good points... He asks then whether she trusts him..

And totally my POV but today it felt like she doesn't... After professing so much love on both their parts and V's continuous assurance that he will talk to BK and will not let her sacrifice her career, Sai is still reeling from the previous experiences. She doesn't give in to his advances and stalls him...

Frankly... My personal opinion, it was not needed. Sure, they may not consummate the marriage but an increased intimacy as far as kisses are concerned should have been possible. But she doesn't give in.

It only means two things... Either Sai doesn't trust V that he will support her or she doesn't trust that he will be able to turn it around with BK.

And yes, it may also mean that she feels they wouldn't be able to control themselves and would go all the way. Again disjointed from reality. Happens only in ITV life.

Though its sad, considering how much they have moved ahead.

She is worried and anxious about her career. Rightly so. But his repeated assurances are not working as it should have been. And thats why V needs to step up his game. He understands her tension and waits.. good... Very gentlemanly like. But all this talk to trust seems hollow.

That apart... NB Ayesha were good in the SR talk. The playful naughtiness was rightly portrayed by both. His asking permission for a hug was not needed when she has been hugging him all this while. He should have asked permission for a cheek kiss if not a lip kiss.

Stupid writing.

Also, i understand they don't want to show intimacy and with Sai stopping it, it's not possible in the story... But again the level of comfort they have with each other could have been explored.

What's so wrong in showing that V helps her remove that obnoxious head gear? That she is sitting by the mirror and removing the Jewelry and he is admiring her through the mirror? That he is unbuttoning his kurta while holding her in an eye lock. That even though it's the first night and since they have decided to not indulge in, rebuild the pillow wall... Making it seem like a barrier for them giving it to their biology.

The actors are fine with hugs... So why not do a cuddle and spooning?

Itna bhi nahi dikha sakte??? What's this obsession with chastity???

Morning after bhi skip kar diya... Why couldn't they show a parellel scene of Sai coming out with wet hair and V waking up to those droplets... Simple se scenes... With social distancing...

I am really irritated with this tendency to skip such scenes. 👎🏼. Aur ye sab pehle bhi ho chuka hai... They just had to recreate this. No dialogues needed and the actors are good enough to carry it on just by their eyes. Pura episode ban sakta tha itna hi.

Making this point again...

I feel there are two teams directing.. one for SaiRat and other for family.

But why does the writing team is also split???

And it's shows in the Sammy Pakhi scene.

Sammy Pakhi conversation in the room is good. Pakhi for the first time feels like understood his POV... But rather Samrat who was reading her accurately and guessing her intentions is suddenly in love with her.

Sorry to sound crass but that's a very disgusting and pathetic trait to be in a man. It looks like Sammy is awed by her outer beauty and charm and has nothing to think about her nature, her behaviour and her intentions for his brother. What crapload is this???

Very objectifying ... Even if it is for Pakhi... Utterly wrong.

The writing disjoint continues in dining table scene.

Sai is missing and V comes down for breakfast.

And the dialogues... "Sai apne room main nahi hai???"

Why???

This is an oft repeated dialogue.. especially when she is missing from the house purposely... Has run away..

Why can they make it as V coming down looking for her?

Why can't he say main bhi use dhund raha hun? Subah jaldi uth gai mere se pehle etc?

A MAN who has given her a not so subtle hint on consummating the marriage the previous night is not even anxiously searching for her in the morning???

V was more anxious and worried when he came looking for her on ShiviRaj wedding day. That was more believable.

Today's felt like a couple few months into marriage rather than a one who spent first night together 🤦🏻‍♀️

BK is as everyone expected.. suddenly sweet to Sai when she is bending to her rules and her wishes.

Sonali Omkar are fun... Understandably shocked at BK's sudden palti. I guess Omi will stop calling her deviji afterall kyunki ab to vahini ne bhi bolna chod diya.

Karishma looks shocked too and worried. She emotes that concern quite well in those few seconds... Ki ab mera status kya hai???

Pakhi ka expression less face was stupid. I mean looking at how BK ignored her and bestowed all those honorific titles on Sai, Pakhi ke pairo tale zameen khisakni chahiye thi. She should have realised ki BK ko itne saal maska marne ka koi fayda hua nahi... Jab BK ne use dudh se makkhi ki tarah nikal diya ... But alas she is too dumb to realise all this.

Rajeev is a breath of fresh air.

V-Sai dining table eye convo is cute.

V getting up and going into kitchen to help is awesome.. chalo finally some hint of equality. Although Sonali missed a chance to tease him.

Him taking up a seat next to her and serving her is sweet.

That mirchi could have been another ITV trope where Sai eats it and then chokes and V offers her water caressing her back... Romantic

Verdict

Totally disjointed in terms of dialogues content and emotions.

2 seperate episodes club karke aaj ka bana diya... No relation of night scenes to the morning scenes.

V ka monologue seemed overhyped. NB has done exceptionally better previously. The post was just an obligatory one to celebrate 500 episodes... For or not for damage control. Can't say. 👎🏼

I wasn't expecting either Sai's hurt being addressed or Shruti Pakhi in the conversation so I am not disappointed in that sense.

Sammy ka pagalpan was utter nonsense. This should end. For a change Pakhi made sense today when she asked for divorce. 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Sammy who was lattooo over Pakhi in hospital track is back completely obliterating the Sammy who was there in previous episodes.

I desperately need a facepalm reaction now IF.

P.S. SaiRat are definitely going to have test tube babies. With surrogacy too probably. #nayisoch

V is right in one count... Hamara pyaar yaad rahega... Yeah right.. for being the most platonic romantic pair

V is continuously repeating aaj jo kiya, subah jo kiya... So he is completely bowled over by her proposal. But what about those other instances when she cared for him? So just like Sai has forgotten that he cared for her earlier too, V has completely forgotten all that she did even without the confession.

The famous Sairat scene - was too underwhelming. So the weathered, battered fandom was right😆. It was damage control. We have seen much much better scenes from the same Neilsha. More on that later.

Though the bit where Virat collects his thoughts after she stops him, was done well. There was no irritation but a kind of self control and taming down of expectations🤣

Breakfast scene was weird. Ashwini can just be quiet😡. She was acting so weird and spaced out. Sai has made breakfast before, she used to make breakfast and then go to college. They established it themselves. 🤔

The mirchi looked placed very obviously. I kind of felt bad - Mirchi se mirchi nikaal diya Virat ne, literally and figuratively.. Sai was looking so nervous and upset. Good thing she used at least the one thing she can use. And it is only fair.

I didn't watch Samrat - Pakhi - not interested.

Though Pakhi will soon notice and gauge correctly what is happening between Sairat. Or she will eavesdrop, noticing their fluster and eventually she will be the first one to know. This bill is also going to be phadoed on Sai.

Pre-cap: I hope Sai doesn't burst out in nervousness. Because it is a big responsibility BK has placed on her and BK trusts Virat, that's why she has done it. Sai will naturally feel that she is cheating Kaku.

Yaar as I said yesterday, I felt that Sai did not want to start their special day on lies. She said their love is true and their new life has to start on the truth. Sai speaks her mind, even if it hurts Virat she will not beat around the bush. Today when she said, she trusts him more than anything I think she means it. But she is just worried that it is going to be an uphill task. She did say some magic has to happen for her to agree. It felt like, she wanted it but her mood is off.

Yeah he should not have asked permission while hugging. They were hugging every now and then. Also, they should have shown them sleeping together. It is such an important detail. They always skip such night scenes. I gave up on them actually.

ITV on the other hand also has thousands of little scenes to show that s....tension between couples, even in the most sanskaari shows.

I can understand the self control, but show the longing too? Sai also wants to go ahead. She will also be in the same boat as Virat.

I am not disappointed at the lack of intimacy ... Vo to umeed hi nahi hai...

But the ones i mentioned are very natural instances... And they have already been done in the same show... just had to repeat them

I understand Sai's anxiety..one side her career is in stake and on the other side they had to lie to Kaku.. The tension was visible in their eyes in dining room ..tgeir scene was quite domestic ..Both were glowing in love especially Virat..

What I don't understand if virat has so much influence in the family why can't she convince Kaku if he can do for other matters.. Both looked so uncomfortable when Kaku was praising for being a good bahu..

I am wondering whether virat has any backup plans 🤪

Otherwise the episode felt quite disjointed .quite meh..

Honestly I felt both Samrat and pakhi these two characters should be written off.. 👎🏼

Now coming to the famous SaiRat bedroom romance promoted by Ayesha 😆..It was so underwhelming.. Neil deliverered better performance in the past .. When he spoke about loosing Sai there was no emotions in his voice.. It felt as if he was doing lip service.. Where as Ayesha was fully giving herself to that scene.. Her eyes were filled with love , passion and longingness..I still remember their hug after sai's first accident was more emotional...you actually feel sorry for virat and he justified his insecurities regarding her.. Glad they didn't go any further because Sai could have loose herself..

He praised her determination about them.. He knows that she has gone through a lot to be with him.. Shouldn't he tell her then that he has been loving her all along that's why couldn't bear that rejection and divorce.. I wonder vanker has discarded everything what happened between SaiRat just just like he does for other serious issues.. He claims to be in love with her like diwana but that doesn't show in his actions anymore

Exactly! the longing from Sai is missing. And the disappointment from Virat's side. It is natural. They are forcing themselves in into situation unwantedly. That is not brought about.
