Several Bollywood movies are getting postponed

Mission Manju and Govinda Mera Naam both are moving towards middle or end of year to avoid clashing with Jurassic World on June 10th. Rani’s film Ms. Chaterjee is moving from May 20th to some other date in June or July. Yodha is moving from November 11th to 2023 so it won’t clash with Black Panther. As of now Ek Villain2 is still clashing with Thor.

Overall perhaps. But I think clashing with Jurassic World or Black Panther just wouldn’t have been a smart business decision. And that would have been true even before the pandemic IMO. I’m sure EV2 will postpone its release as well. All that being said, I do wonder if Jersey and Heropanti2 failures did push these producers to move their dates.

A slightly tangential discussion but my thesis is that the excessive commoditization of content, led by Netflix, is going to hurt Bollywood and a lot of other movie industries a lot going forward. For theater releases, only large scale movies with massive budget might work. And this may very well hurt Netflix too.
