BOI finally posts numbers

Heropanti 2 collected a low 6.25-6.50 crore nett on its first day which is not good enough for an action film as they are frontloaded. The film had bulk bookings at multiplexes before release and the collections in multiplexes are mainly from these.

The opening is the lowest ever for Tiger Shroff, it is not the lowest in terms of numbers as A Flying Jatt opened lower in 2016 but in terms of footfalls or if you take out the bulk bookings then Heropanti 2 is the lowest. Overall its a dull Eid with Heropanti 2 and Runway 34.

Runway 34 saw a very low first day as it collected 3 crore nett. If we go by the look of the film and the trailer its not too shocking but as it had a presence of a star like Ajay Devgn then the numbers become horrible. It is the lowest opening day for Ajay Devgn since Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge way back in 2010. A similar think happened with Akshay Kumar and Bell Bottom but there were excuses as it was a weak release coming out of the pandemic with many issues at that time..
