Indian content is great on prime.

I subscribe to Netflix for the non Indian content.

I have no issues with woke content as long as it is mounted in a good story told in an engaging way.

Increased price or not I will continue with Netflix for sure.

Only two Indian shows, The Sacred Games and The Fame Game have found place in Netflix's Global top10, that says something.

Netflix India is not true to anything.

Indian web shows are either extreme rustic and graphic or extreme hip and westernized.

Just to bring in Global feel, writers lose the Indian essence. Na idhar ke na udhar ke.

Very well put. This is exactly what I feel when I watched some Netflix indian content.
they westernize it so much that u don’t feel any connect to the setting, characters or story.

I watched 2 Korean shows and both had global feel but they are rooted in their culture. Writers proudly flaunt its Culture.

Inka kuch nahi hoga.

Bang on. There’s almost nothing Indian about these series on Netflix other than speaking a bit of Hindi and the background of Indian cities in between shots. Meanwhile Prime had Family Man, Made in Heaven, Mirzapur etc. Sure, Netflix has shows like Decoupled which might be decent one time watches but swap out the main characters for any other ethnicity and you wouldn’t even know it was an Indian series. There’s such lack of authenticity and that’s why Indians aren’t going crazy for Netflix. Ab toh Money Heist ka craze bhi gaya now the show’s come to an end. Netflix need to get creative. Look for better Indian writers, please!

Even the romance is fluffy and superficial. Korean romance reminds me of the good old Bw days. Aur hamare wale HW ke banane chale hai.

Small town stories are also not treated well. Decoupled was so blah. Worst than westernized product of the same shit. It could only work for a fraction of people. Even the likes Kareena wouldn’t give it a more than 5 minutes. It was that conceited. 😆
