I disagree with everything completely. A lot of things to be said, but for lack of time and in the interest of brevity, just the Bold parts:

Akshara is the only one responsible for his insecurities. She is still thinking about having her sister not attend the wedding or losing Abhimanyu and his love entirely. That sister who is a criminal, by the way, for hitting someone and leaving them to die. And that sister who actively destroyed proofs and blackmailed her into hiding the crime.

So many people have pointed out to her how wrong her aroo is, and that the choice here is between right and wrong.

But still Akshara can't even bear her sister not attending the wedding. But she expects Abhimanyu to accept her sister who almost killed his mother. That sister who was so flippant about the entire thing, lying, hiding, having criminal intent after the accident, what not. That sister for whom she routinely hides truths not only from Abhi but also from the family. She wants Abhimanyu to eventually forgive and accept that sister as part of the wedding. That's the hope she had when she went to the park. How insensitive and plain wrong is that? Even disgusting, in my opinion.

Not a single thought about his feelings, peace or relationships even though he has done a huge favour on both sisters by not sending them to jail. Which he did only for her feelings, peace and happiness, and even said so. Usually, anyone would break-up if they found that their partner's sister caused a life threatening accident to their mother, and went on to hide that truth.

For that relationship, she can't even bear the sister not attending a wedding for 3 days, which is appalling and proves his insecurities right. If she valued him and the relationship, she would immediately understand his mindset behind wanting the criminal (aroo) out of the wedding. But she's unable to choose between the sister's wedding attendance and her so called true love. That sister for whom she was happily going to jail, leaving her wedding and more importantly, forsaking the truth.

By staying silent and not making a choice, and repeatedly saying "I can't choose between the two" she's acting as though he's asked her to murder her sister to marry him. And she doesn't even realize that her sister was about to murder his mother. By staying silent, she has already made a choice - Arohi, and was broken and crying because she doesn't have the courage to accept and express this truth. There's nothing to choose here in the first place, but the issue is Abhimanyu holds no importance at all in her life. If he did, she wouldn't think at all between sister's wedding attendance and his love, especially when the sister has committed a crime that almost killed his mother.

It's so obvious that she repeatedly chooses Aroo over Abhimanyu, and his insecurities are only because of her blind dumb behaviour with respect to Aroo. She's a grown woman who should be held accountable for her decisions. She's responsible equally in all of Arohi's mistakes and crimes by actively shielding them. No amount of abuse story is going to justify Akshara's pathetic behaviour, because her repeated defense of Aroo is very calculated every single time, and not spur-of-the-moment or just once.

She doesn't love Abhimanyu. If she did, she'll understand how difficult it is for him to not legally punish Arohi for the crime. Instead, she expects him to happily allow Arohi in the wedding after all that has happened. Anyone will be insecure if their fiance is so blinded by sibling love. Or if their fiance has such senseless and crazy love for anyone. Akshara has completely lost sight of right and wrong, and needs therapy now, not marriage.

She's just infatuated, at best, with Abhimanyu, and doesn't deserve his love, where he's ready to compromise on so much for her but she can't even recognize the need to punish a criminal just because the criminal is her sister. She can't even bear her sister getting such a miniscule punishment for leaving his mother to die and almost killing her. She has no place in her life to give anyone, since all the space is already given to aroo.

If abuse was a one-way route, then nobody would have ever come out of it. Here, Akshara herself doesn't want to let go of aroo and doesn't want to come out of the abuse. That's the issue. She knows aroo is wrong but still actively, soch samajh ke, supports aroo's crimes, which is ridiculous. It's a conscious choice she makes, thinking about aroo's career and cries. Not a decision where she's majboor or anything. Before going to the park, she even went to explain to her "jaan" aroo that she loves her and her importance hasn't reduced LOL 🤢

In front of aroo, she has no self-respect, no sense of right or wrong, and acts brainless, doing exactly what aroo wants her to do. So, the insecurities are only natural that he holds 0 importance in front of aroo. When she doesn't even respect herself when it comes to aroo, how can she respect any other person?

Akshara is the type of person who values relations taking good and bad. That is just who she is.

That is why Manish tells Akshara she values relations so much that she cannot discern between right and wrong. Sometimes you need to take relations out of the equation and see things for what they are.

Abuse has made Akshara act and think the way she does hence the damaging affects of abuse. For some people emotional or physical abuse one sign and they are out and drop that person like a hot potato. It becomes more difficult when that person is a family member and you have no real support from other family members and thus you are sort of stuck in this cycle until you can somehow breakfree on your own or someone comes and takes you out.

But because of the long term physiological affects on the victim they have trouble breaking their habits of thinking.

Akshara has low self-esteem due to the abuse she has suffered and the guilt that she carries with her. That is why when Abhi loudly displays his love in front of everyone she always carries this awed look. Like she cannot believe someone would actually love her like that and give her the respect that she rarely gets at home. How many times has her sister taunted her and told her she's plain, she's not smart, she is just some singer, and you are the reason for my mother's death. After years of hearing it even if you try and ignore it, it buries deep inside and can affect you. So, yes you are correct that Akshara does not respect herself enough. But that is why Abhi has entered into her life to teach her to love herself and respect herself. But this journey is not going to be easy. This is not going to be resolved in days or months. We will see her take a few steps forward and a few steps back.

It can be frustrating from a third party perspective to see a person behave in this manner.

I feel for Abhi and understand his insecurities. He is right but I also understand where Akshara is coming from. So neither of them are wrong in my book.

Akshara will need to learn to balance this. Just like Abhi will need to learn to control his temper.

But we can agree to disagree.

There are many characters who need to get some therapy on this show. Arohi for sure. She is just a very unhappy person. Akshara to help her with getting over her guilt and the emotional blackmailing she has suffered over the years. Abhi for his temper and whatever trauma he has gone through growing up at the Birla household.

I find it amusing how we've gone from Akshara deserves better during the tilak 2.0 track. To Abhi desrves better for this accident track 😆
