1. Women wanting to see bad boy heroes at least on page and on screen is a worldwide phenomenon. Look at all the Draco Hermione shippers. The Karna Panchali shippers. Both men are outright criminals. Yet they have female fans, shipping them with female main characters.

2. Somehow the onus is on the women to reform the criminals. And it ain't just south Indian movies. Raja ki Ayegi Baarat, Benaam Badshah. And Kabir Singh was a big hit in North India, too. Also, a critical scene from Arjun Reddy, where Shiva puts the blame solely on the hero, was not in Kabir Singh.

3. Filmmakers cater to this audience.

Its the women audience they are catering too.

Ofcourse I'm not saying all women love this kind of stuff but many do and it's not based on just the women i have interacted with but based on the trp and collection such shows and movies are getting. These novels ( 365 or 50 shades) were also read by women mostly too. So i don't see why only men are being blamed for the success of such stuff. Women should take some responsibility about this too.

Anyways i rest my case too.

Isn't the discussion about problematic scenes in big films like Bahubali and KGF 2?

ye "365 days" and "50 shades of grey" kahan se aa gaye beech me ??

You're literally grouping these big, successful, massy films that are popular nationwide with crap films like 365 days, that are circulated as "erotica" genre. They never claimed to be wholesome, nationwide entertainers for "family" audience.

Kaunsi family in India "365 days" dekhne jaati apne bacchon or bujurg parents ke saath?

But the audience rushed to theaters to watch KGF and with their families.

That is why the existence of such scenes is being questioned?

And kitne % of TV shows have problematic heroes? Like someone said, shows like Naagin, Anupama are high TRP grossers, and

And TRP doesn't mean anything. It's just one assumption after another.

The likes of IPKKND are enjoyed by women but that doesn't mean they love to watch being treated in the worst way possible on big screen,

@bold

You answered it yourself. There are some po*n which has FAR worse content than the 2 films you're mentioning.

To po*n ki existence bhi question karo na? Batao why men love watching disturbing content like torture po*n?

Uski bhi demand hogi isiliye banta hai, right? =>Iska matlab men enjoy torturing women and would love to kidnap/molest them.smiley39 Aapke logic se to yahi matlab niklega.

Men ke liye to araam se bol diya ki "They would rather watch po*n than this stuff", without putting any onus on them and without making any judgment on men.

But Bollywood/Hollywood ki problematic scenes ke liye bhi ladkiyan zimmedar hain?

80s, 90s mein jo rape scenes dikhate the uske liye bhi women were responsible I guess.

Wo bhi unki fantasy hogi isiliye filmmakers dikhate the right?

Wow!👏 I can't believe it's comming from someone like you., as I've followed your posts since long.

The thing is there is an audience for everything. That doesn't mean their existence shoudn't be questioned, especially when it's about content that has wider reach and has bigger influence.

We are having this discussion based on generalization anyways. For e.g. I absolutely loathed "365 days" , and I know some guys who loved the film. The film had enough erotica for male fantasy as well.

It is obviously to carter to a certain section of male audience who in real life do not have confidence to talk with women, and are kinda bitter towards them, so this is kinda reaching out to their fantasies.

Good guys are friendzoned anyways.

I guess they are streching the female fantasies of bad boy a bit too far with movies like this one or kabeer Singh.

P.s. wasn't Michele morrone's 365 days based on a similar plot.... Similar fantasies?

Good guys don't get friendzoned, guys who have no guts to propose and simp the girl in a hope one day she will say herself propose get friendzoned.😆

Just an opinion which I tried to present as fact😆.

I used to make excuses for the all the misogynist stuff in movies, but I am realising that we men indeed tend to get bitter with girls when they become individual of their own 🤣

That's a very candid confession ..women already know this but men take time to realize😂

That's the reason I mentioned elsewhere that if a girl really wants to marry at some point in life better not to delay much..else no guy will seem good enough😉
