I kind of have started feeling the same. Although, I still want the show to keep going on for at least another 1.5~2 years. I need it as a stress buster even if it has become a complacent show. 😔
this is purely personal opinion and is by no means to offend anyone.
for me, the show lost its charm when ASI Mira entered. since then the focus shifted from the main cast to her which created a lot of imbalance. while she was funny and useful in certain cases, I didn't think it was necessary to add another character. the build-up to it was also hare-brained at best (adding an artificial intelligence bot that has to be trained to be human because they failed to inspire three women to join the force who left owing to the demanding nature of the job itself.). her whole character was to create a political debate between the benefits/disadvantages of artificial intelligence and humans. as proven by the showrunners themselves, artificial intelligence has its fair set of advantages that could be incredibly useful to the police force. but in the end, she was shafted due to being dangerous (fair point) and deemed unimportant (untrue given what we were shown prior). the conclusion wasn't a fair representation of the argument nor the incompetent department heads who clearly have no idea how to lead/take responsibility.
after that was dealt with, mission bherupiya took the cake in making me even more disconnected from the show. as I sat and thought hard about this, I realised it's because the dynamics changed so much since its inception. they are no longer just colleagues. it is much more personal and this effort to go make it what it was before without addressing the elephant in the room is damaging to what they have built. I am not sure how to explain this but what I am trying to say is that with these relationships becoming much more interpersonal (this isn't a bad thing), i just can't look at the way they solve cases the same.
haseena is the main character that escapes without any consequences every single time. it was something I could close my eyes and bear because at least the rest of the characters were allowed to be flawed. but this one time where her actions have hurt so many people is something I cannot, for the life of me, forget. she needed to get the cold shoulder for her and the others to grow.
instead, they have gone back to the repetitive, done till death and frankly annoying, haseena vs Karishma where the latter is always wrong or being a Yaya papaya. cheetoshpa have become dumb and insignificant. billu is nothing but a punching bag. shoehorning random characters for seemingly no reason (Surinder Sharma) is baffling. all of this is what I identify as my own breaking point.
I miss when all the characters served a purpose and their own charm and essence.
I completely agree that it takes a lot of hard work and perseverance to write out a script in such a tight schedule. but I don't think it is an excuse for all the glaring plot holes and lack of character consequences, especially in the entire hard disc/Pendrive plot which was an opportunity gift wrapped for them to fix all the cracks you've mentioned. it will be sad to see it end, to say goodbye to this amazing cast and crew. but I want it to go out on a high note and not succumb to the trp game.
You might not believe this but honest to God, I was thinking along the same lines on saturday after watching the episode. I was afraid to bring this up, but I guess I'm not the only one feeling this.
The show's charm has really been lost somewhere. We mentioned this during the mission behrupiya dragfest and urmila overflow, but at that time I assumed the problem was that track, maybe writers couldn't figure out how to manage thana cases alongside mission or maybe they couldn't figure out how/where to incorporate urmila. Now however, all that is behind us, and yet the original vibes don't seem to have returned. I know its been less than a week of HM's return and might be too early to judge, but I don't see things improving much in the near future either. I think the show's creatives have exhausted themselves and, I absolutely agree sainath, SonySAB's pressure has a major role in that. The demand for 6 episodes a week, the constant threat of the show getting axed if trp drops and other shows outperform, the pressure to constantly incorporate high-voltage drama and popular moments (kareena, cheetosh, slapping billu) - all of that is bound to take a toll on the quality of content you can put out. Whatever the reason though, the writing has certainly gone down and it can't really be ignored anymore.
I was rewatching a few old episodes (from the early 100s), and that writing and comedy just hit different. I had rewatched those same episodes a month back, yet they were just as hilarious and pleasing to watch again. Recent episodes feel like a drag in comparison, like I'm almost forcing myself to find funny moments in the episode so I can laugh hysterically. I think the show's getting overly formulaic, monotone and complacent in all aspects, whether its the case progression, comedy, kareena disagreement (esp dialogues). Whatever is changing, it seems to be for the worse (like you mentioned cheetah going overboard, karishma losing her identity, etc). That's why after saturday's episode I genuinely began thinking that maybe, at its core, the show's time is up. If they can't do justice to it, they might as well stop ruining whatever good name and fame the show's acquired so far.
My only hope is Hemen sir's return after his movie's shooting ends, but that will be atleast another month. Even then, I wonder how much he will be able to help. He definitely brings freshness to the comedy, but how much can he possibly change in the given script and scenes.

Agree with all your points
@bold; who is Surinder Sharma?

I've been feeling this for a couple of weeks now...even I was afraid to bring it up but like I said in my post , it was high time someone bought this topic up...

Even I want the show to atleast run for another 2 years....but the episodes should only air 3 or 4 days in a week so that it can maintain it's freshness in script and execution ( if this was the old SAB tv from 2006-12 this would've been the case but now I highly doubt that this would happen , even FIR and TMKOC ran for only twice/thrice a week in its initial years) This show has become more of a guilty pleasure for me these days , I'm no longer hooked to the cases , just love the cast so much that it's hard to quit the show...
I believe that is my masumiyat's father's name. in the episode where cheetah and santu were seeing him off, I heard the former calling him that.

It pains me a great deal to say this , but someone has to;
I feel like Maddam sir has run it's course....the show lost it's charm a while back , the cases are not entertaining anymore , not that it's the writers fault , it's 💯 Sony SAB's fault of making 6 episodes per week instead of the usual 5...so in the hurry of writting the episodes the show has lost it's essence somewhere...I feel like this show still has a good 100+ episodes , but any more than episode 600 would meet the same fate as TMKOC is going through right now and I don't want my favourite show to go through that...it'll be sad to see the show ending , I'm writing this post to mentally prepare myself for what's about to come probably in a year or two...even now I feel like I want to take a break from this show but I'm just waiting for ep 500 knowing that the makers would give us an explosive track ( even mission beherupiya started from ep 451) so I'll hang on to the show until ep 500/510 and then I'll take a brief break from this show but I'll be back.......I love this show and the amazing cast and crew behind it and a part of me wishes that this show could continue for the next 4-5 years for them but idk the recent episodes and cases have left me disheartened...I'm not blaming the creatives in any way because we at this forum are aware about the ammount off effort they put in to make a single scene let alone a episode , they work so hard in such a tight schedule but what's hard work when fans get disconnected from the show? It's a waste of energy for the cast and crew to put so much effort in a sinking ship and I wish they would move on to bigger and better roles where they can broadern their horizons....I won't be saying all this but the cracks in this well crafted show is already evident : Cheeta became obsessive , Pushpaji+santu+cheeta collectively dumbed down during cc track and beherupiya track , increase in Billu's physical harrasment , KS became too dependant on her Maddam sir to solve cases that she barely functions on her own anymore , Pushpaji KS nokh jhok becoming borderline insensitive these days , HM ( her apology and MPT members outrage was completely glossed over) I feel like every show has it's natural stopping point and Maddam sir is nearing it...I'll still be watching the show but this has to be said , like I said before I'm mentally preparing myself for the day when it's going to be announced that Maddam sir is going to be pulled off the air...
I'll miss this amazing cast and crew ( hope that doesn't happen for atleast a year....fingers crossed)
.i have long time back accepted the show fate right from that mission part started..That this show downfall has started and now whatever the makers and writers do its not gonna save show..I predict that atleast a year it will run..not more than that ..if the writers continue to show this type of cases and loosing the essence of show ,characters just yo show one character good.Agreed i was so shocked , angry with the matter that they are now showing KS has lost her ability , charm , and inner sense and ber bhaukal and completely being dependent on MS to solve cases thats not our KS.I GUESS OUR KS HAS BEEN LOST SOMEWHERE BEFORE ALSO THIS MISSION MESS STARTED. I am 100%irritated by cheetah and billu being punch bags and showing any cases revolving around iqbal or badnam .KS and PS knok jhok are the limit .they have now especially PS have now started to downgrade KS character right in front of everyone..pehle toh atleast aisa dikhate the ki kuch bhi ho PS never made extreme knok jhoks ..At the moment i am more disappointed by Writers.
aree yaar koi variety laau case mein , like bhutowala case...Take e.g. of FIR they had fabulous bhoot ,choodail,aatma waale type case ...
yaha toh sabne bass apni akal bech daali hai and have completely lost ability go think by themselves ..And for god sake dont let me get started on HS memory back track..
