There aren't many, but I will like to share my perspective on one particular scene that had made most of us extremely comfortable.

Yes, I'm talking about the medical test scene. Now, before you roll you eyes and leave, give it a second thought. I watched some of the clips of that scene on insta, and I would like to pick up on some of the things that I noticed.

Ofcourse, Babita enraged me like she enraged all of you, and honestly, this post isn't about her. It is about the questions that women have to answer. The constant need of proving that they are pure enough. Where a woman's character is assessed with the question of her chastity. As this show claims to be a women-centric show with woman empowerment at it's core, I would say it could've done a better job at the execution of this topic, but then again, even in real life, isn't it always the 'mothers' and the 'females' giving us gyaan about chastity. I know we can't relate to Sunaina's unconventional situation and the extreme and dramatized way this topic was raised, but I loved the way Meety responded to it. Her response was simple and it hit the bull's eye.

For a person like Babs, you can't simply argue with her. You will not be able to win a 'battle of words' with her without getting yourself tainted in the dirt that her pseudo-feminist mindset harbours. So, Meety took the reverse psychology approach. I immediately remembered a dialogue of one of my fav Sitcom characters, Sheldon Cooper. I don't exactly remember each and every word, so I can't quote, but it was something like '...I know you are smart enough, why can't you see that I'm right and you are wrong?'.

Meety, initially invoked the pseudo-progressive lady inside Babs, and instead of immediately telling her that she is wrong, she took the approach of '..you are a strong, progressive, independent woman, and I know you can never make a wrong decision or wrong anyone then how can you not see that what you are doing here is wrong...' (honestly, it felt so sarcastic to me. Babs and progressive ?🤣)

Babs, definitely not pleased, but couldn't proceed with the test after this comment. Then, came the next shot. Even though, this situation is just vile, and I don't want either of the genders to face something even remotely close to this, but Babita needed this wake-up call. If Sunaina's character can be put to test just on the basis that she had spent a night in a different man's bed, why can't the same test be conducted on Tej who was not in the picture for 3 whole years? She knew this was equally offensive, so she apologized to Babs even before putting this thought in words, but ofcourse Babs still didn't like it kyunki unka 'Mera Beta' hangover constant hain. No matter, how much Babs tried to have her last word by saying ' The definition of right and wrong is different for everyone.' We know our Meety won the argument not only for Sunaina but for the entire womanhood.

The next scene-Meety and Sunaina conversation was another gem, and this topic is a tad bit more relatable. Are you an ardent lover or just a doormat? What is love? Love is definitely not something where you sacrifice your self respect. If your love is hurting you, making you feel guilty, is condescending, then it is not love. Your love should make you stronger and not weaker. ❤️

So many youngsters really need to understand this. I have seen so many of my friends suffering in toxic relationships just in the name of 'love'.

I hope Meety's character always stays true to her own words, and we never have to see her become a doormat. Even though I trust MA, he always keeps her above himself, but I just don't trust his family.

I'm not trying to convince you to watch the scene, as it is indeed disgusting to see Babs turn into this regressive and vile Saas. But if you can, do give it a try, and share your opinion about this scene in this post.❤️

P.S- I don't want to believe that our intelligent Meety will just randomly staple a designer saree in order to help Babs. So, for my mental peace, I will just think that she and Tej took revenge from Babs for her atrocious behavior towards their beloved Sunaina

Waise to I skipped that entire episode except for 30 sec mandir scene but what u wrote here doesn't sound as bad as I had imagined it to turn out.. 😪

Thanks for explaining that scene to us.. ❤️

when we were at this point, all of us are having issues with Babita and thought she will oppose Meet being an officer… and yes she did but somehow magically all of us are agreeing with Babita more than Meet H reasoning … this is called power of narrative…🤣
