Perfectly round and warm to touch, they were made to fit right in his palm, he mused as he cupped one in his hand.
"Shivaaaaaa ... " Raavi's voice reverberated through the room .. as he bit down on it.

*2 minutes earlier*
It was just after sunset when Raavi walked into Pandya Nivaas, a spring in her steps, and a twinkle in her eyes knowing she was about to ruin Shiva Pandya's evening. She called out to Shiva as soon as she spotted him , flashing him a toothy smile as she made a beeline for him.
Shiva looked up from his plate at the sound of a voice he knew all too well, unfortunately.
He shuddered as a vague recollection of stories he'd heard as a young boy about virgin witches descending among mortals after sundown flitted through his mind.
Shiva considered hightailing it out of there but decided against it after some quick contemplation. He had just started sipping on his tea and Dhara bhabi had fried him some kachoris earlier before leaving for Kanta kakis jagraata. They were so perfectly round, all puffed up and crispy, just the way he liked them. Not having the heart to ditch the kachoriyaan, Shiva decided to stay back and complete his snack. He figured if he concentrated on his chai and kachori hard enough, he could tune out the chipkali.
Ignoring her enthusiastic greeting, Shiva nursed his tea and resumed chowing down on the plate full of kachoriyaan.
*End of maggi wala flashback*

"Shiva sun naaaa !!" she whined, poking his arm insistently.
"Bakkk Gadhedi đđ !!!" he said, unable to ignore her anymore now that she was literally hovering over his head.
"Mujhe na tujh se kuch poochna thaa" Raavi smiled and looked down, suddenly acting all coy.
This put all of Shiva's senses on red alert and he sat up straight. This chudail was up to no good and he could tell by how she went from grinning like a 400 watts light bulb to the worst impersonation of Meena Kumari he has seen in his 21 years of existence. He took a large swig of his tea to try to calm down. Vibhuti na sahi, he'll use caffeine to drive away this chipkali roopi chudail.
Now that she had his full attention, Raavi decided to speak.
Batting her eye lashes at him in a way that she knew irritates him to no ends, she asked sheepishly "Tunay kabhi kisiko kiss kiya hai? Like chaste pecks nahin. Proper .. Geeli pappiyaan?"
Shiva spat out his tea and looked at her incredulously. The chipkali had finally lost her Goddamned mind.
She continued to look at him from the corner of her eyes, watching out for his reaction, mentally cackling gleefully imagining the hell she was about to unleash on him.
"Tf ?!"
"Shiva sawal ka jawaab de, ulta sawaal mat kar !" She pouted.
"Mujhe nahin dena tujhe koi jawaab tu nikal yahaan se, abhi ke abhi nikal" he barked at her and grabbed her hand, fully intent on throwing her out of his house.
Raavi had just come here with the intention of irritating Shiva but what she did not count on was how she found herself subconsciously sliding her hand further into his, and more so on the way her own treacherous heart reacted as her sights fell on their clasped hands. She did not like just how much she liked having her hand in his. Thrown off by how a simple act of them holding hands seemed to make her heart flutter, she found herself unable to meet his eyes and turned away. This did not go unnoticed by Shiva. In fact, it made him feel some type of way and that feeling ... unnerved him. He looked at their joined hands and then at her face, eyes trained on anything but him and a prominent red making itself known on what little of her he could see from this angle. This was not her usual discount Amrita Rao (Vivaah) act. He had never seen her blush before, not for him anyway. He dropped her hand like it was on fire, horrified at his train of thoughts.
No. He shook his head. This was just the Chudail messing with his head. For the sake of his sanity, Shiva decided to shrug it off because he had no intention of letting this sasti Alice in Somnathland drag him down whatever Rabbit hole she was intent on going down today. Well, he tried to anyway.
Raavi too brushed off the strange new way her heart seemed to react to Shiva just a while ago. She had come here to ruin the Bhoothnath's evening and that is what she was going to do. It was too late to back out anyway.
"Acha theekay tu nahin batayega toh mai apni bataati hoon. Aaj na sab college mein truth or dare khayl rahe thei. Maine truth choose kiya toh Sanjana ne first kiss ke baray mein pooch liya. Ab jo kiya hi nahin uska kyaa batati. Hamare class mein sab ne kar liya, eik mai hi hoon jisse aaj tak koi waisi wali pappi nahin mili đ"
Shiva rolled his eyes and got up to leave when she grabbed his pinky, holding him back.
"Acha kya tu ..." she trailed off, apprehensive of Shiva's reaction to her imminent request
Shiva took a few steps back as his eyes widened in fear, the unsettling feeling from earlier creeping back into his heart. No. She wouldn't. She was crazy ... but surely not THAT crazy right ?
Raavi drew in a deep breath and took a few decisive steps towards Shiva. Mustering all her courage she spoke again, and this time, she leant in, barely an inch from his ears, causing him to shiver inadvertently.
"Kya tu dega mujhe .. my first kiss?" She enunciated for him.
She looked at him expectantly from beneath her lashes, her cheeks colouring prettily as Shiva's jet black eyes met her hazel ones.
Shiva stood rooted to the ground, unable to move or speak.
Raavi realised it was futile waiting for Shiva to react, let alone make the first move so she stood on her tiptoes and gave him a soft yet lingering kiss on his cheek.
"Dekh Shiva, mujhe pata hai tu kisi ka udhaari nahin rakhta, toh sood samayth tu mujhe yeh pappi lauta. Lekin Jab tera mann ho tab." She gave him a dazzling smile before turning away and walking off like nothing happened as Shiva watched, stupefied. What Shiva did not see was how she practically ran off as soon as she was out of his line of sight and stood outside of Pandya Nivaas taking in huge gulps of fresh air in an attempt to calm her racing heart.
Shiva let out a breath he didn't realise he holding in all this while. His heart was beating a mile a minute.
What ... in the fresh hell ?
