At the risk of getting into an endless conversation about variables...

I don't think we know enough/any real information about this incident to say whether or not they were too lazy to take the morning after pill.

Now here are a few variables:

- maybe she didn't realise she was pregnant in the first few days so too late to take the pill

- maybe they initially wanted to keep the baby, hence not using the morning pill, but things changed

- condoms are not 100% safe, neither is any other form of contraception, so again, maybe they have "heard of birth control" - but it didn't work

...so it's not always as simple as "should've taken the pill stoopid"

You don’t take plan B the next day because “you don’t realize you’re not pregnant in the first few days” that’s not a thing. You take it to prevent accidental pregnancies/abortions. Now of course if they wanted to keep it and later changed their mind, that’s a whole another bowl of salad. And that’s totally the woman’s choice. I got no problems with it. I just don’t understand why so many BW women end up having abortions in an era where there’s gazillion methods of birth control available

I stand corrected. My erroneous explanation of how the pill is actually used completely missed the mark, yikes.

That's fine, I suppose; your opinion.

But for me, I don't feel the same.

Of course, no one wants to have an abortion. It's usually a last resort and is done so with a lot of heartache for all involved, especially the female who has to live with the trauma forever. But I am glad (reluctantly) that such methods exist, in cases where contraception is no longer an option, and the woman has a choice to abort the pregnancy if that's what she feels is best for her.

Just curious - what do you think might be the reason "so many BW women end up having abortions"?

Lack of education / carelessness / other?

I don’t blame lack of access or education in these cases. Yes, that’s probably the case in smaller cities or villages which is truly unfortunate and I wish those women had better access to modern medicine and healthcare. I think with privileged women, my theory is that they let their emotions get the best of them in the throes of passion. I personally think Plan B is always the right option if you’re even a little uncertain. And if that doesn’t work, then choose abortion. There’s a 72 hour window. So it’s not like you’re completely screwed if you let a guy nut in you because you got carried away

I am not a fan of Anurag k (and the context does seem to suggest him) however… she was in a secret relationship with a director she carefully doesn’t name but intentionally gives enough context clues for everyone to guess (quite like Kangana, hmmm) because she was still legally married to another guy, a guy she left after a lengthy marriage of… 5 months. If her story is 100% accurate what 33 year old woman married to someone else agrees to be someone’s secret lover AND tries to get pregnant with the man who doesn’t want anyone to know about her? Am I the only one who thinks maybe he said something like “I would love to have another child someday” and she heard “why don’t we have a baby together right now”?
