I dont say that short hair is not made a big deal of. I agree that in villages or small towns, it is a big deal depending on cultural settings. But I feel more than hair length, skin colour, body shape and features are given much more importance and are made a bigger deal of. And this I say based on some friends experiences.
So here, in the show I felt they have used the hair length aspect, which in real life is maybe at number 3 on this list of big deal. Top I feel is skin colour.

Fair enough. I was only asking for clarification and you gave me a fair one. You spoke from what you gained from your friend's experiences, I spoke from my personal experiences, living in a metropolitan, educated urban city. Both are together correct conclusions. I merely wished to offer a varied perspective since I felt like it depends on a factor. Maybe they did place too much of attention on this trait in the show. What we do agree on is that all of these physical attributes whether skin colour, body shape, hair length and dressing style are more heavily criticised in women, while it is unfair to base the judgement of a person only on how they look rather than how they actually are. Whether it is Meet H or Parineeti Chopra, noone should be shamed for their outer appearance 👍🏼
