I've been cracking a lot of jokes and have tried to avoid crying but...well...

My family and I have many dogs at our holiday home and I spent a significant amount of time there during the COVID outbreak...just to stay away from the city and the pandemic. Naturally, all the doggos became my friends and my entire day would revolve around them.

I just got the news an hour ago that one of them passed away a couple of days ago. Apparently a fight ensued between my dogs and some outside dogs. Two of my buddies were injured and one sadly did not make it. The other one is still badly injured and now shaken up after losing his best friend.

Here's a photo from Google that I'm posting. This is what my friend looked like.

Barks.in - Indian Pariah dog! The Desi dog

I've been keeping a strong face but my insides hurt terribly. He was a darling, very loving, mild and kind. A little dumb too because he would get into the worst situations somehow :')

Can't type anymore than this, sorry.

It has been 5 years for me and I'm still not over it. I don't know what to tell you except that I understand what you are going through and nothing will ever fill the void but eventually you will learn to live with it and thank the fact that you ever got to know him/her.

I'm sorry this may not be very helpful.

And just something I feel is true:

I'm so sorry for your loss!

Losing a dog can be really heartbreaking and difficult to deal with. I'd advise you to not hold back your tears. Bottling up your grief is never good.

After the initial phase of grief settles down, remember the good times you had with him and think he is in a much better place because all dogs go to heaven. ❤️

I hope you find your healing soon. ❤️

When God calls little puppies to dwell with Him above,

We humans always question the wisdom

of His love.

For no heartache can compare with the loss of one small "child",

Who does so much to make this world seem wonderful and mild.

Perhaps God tires - always calling the aged to His fold, And so He picks a Rosebud before it can grow old.

God knows how much we need them and so He picks but few; To make the land of heaven more

beautiful to view.

Believing this is difficult, yet somehow we must try,

For the saddest word that mankind knows

will always be "good-bye".

And so when little pups depart; We, who are left behind, must realize

how much God loves puppies...

For angels are hard to find.

When I lost my pup when he was just 1.5 years old, I used to read this poem a lot, I don't know but it provides me some kinda relief and positivity that my baby is now safe & under God's shelter.

So sorry for your loss dear

Stay strong!

I know how it feels, I've also lost pets who were very close to me. That sadness, that emptiness, that feeling of loss doesn't go away overnight. I can only hope that you get the strength to bear this loss.

God saw he was getting tired, and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around him and whispered," Come with Me."

With tearful eyes we watched him suffer and slowly fade away. Although we loved him dearly, we could not make him stay.

A golden heart stopped beating, playful paws were put to rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.

And this one ^ 🥺 I lost him in 2012. But I still miss him, I really am sorry for your loss, mate. I am unable to say anything else.
