I'm sorry for your loss.đ
Wow. Way to be insensitive đ Atleast you are self aware, because you needed to create a new ID to express this callous view.
Irrespective of what YOU feel about it, the time to mention it is NOT when someone is grieving a personal loss. I thought this was common sense, irrespective of anonymity. What shameful behaviour, man.

Sorry if i sohnd insensitive but why do indians have dogs for pets when there are plenty of them roaming on streets? How are they useful?
I can understand lonely white people keeping them for company. But indians??? There are 1.4 billions of us. Why do we need dogs in the first place? If at all, we need to get rid of a lot of them creating nuisance in the streets.
You could perhaps adopt some of them, to make yourself feel better.
I am really sorry for your loss. I have had dogs and cats at home from childhood. Felt the loss of many of them acutely; some were just puppies and kittens. All of them were unique and carved their own place in my heart.
The pure love that animals display is unparalleled. Nothing heals the void when they leave, except for time. Give yourself the time and space to heal. Feel all the emotions as a way of honouring your pet. One day you will wake up and the burden will be a little easier to bear.
Love more of them on the street. They need it and return that love unabashedly. I found that spending time with other dogs gave me comfort and the knowledge that I was doing my part in making their lives a tiny bit better.
Wishing you strength and sending lots of love

Then make a new topic on the forum đ Google this burning question. Ask your neighbour. Anything, but write something so shockingly callous.
This person obviously loves pets. She is grieving and wanted comfort. What part of your comment was helpful or even, kind? Would you say this if a friend was feeling this way?
Just because the country is overpopulated and social media allows anonymity, we shouldnât forget basic decency as a human being.

I apologize but my intention was not to hurt anyone's sentiment but to find out the need for having pets in an already overpopulated country where most people can barely manage two meals a day

Thank you darling â¤ď¸
Pets really love us unconditionally and selflessly, we are bound to fall in love with them â¤ď¸
I do feed a few of them who live near my house in the city. Luckily there are so many pet lovers around my area that every dog has been adopted by building residents and they live in the compounds. They have a collar, are vaccinated, get their meals on time and all that. â¤ď¸
Given how tiny Mumbai apartments are, I always feel its nice when a society adopts them and allow them to live inside the compound/complex. Dogs love running and playing and being free, restricting them to a flat prevents them from doing so.
But the day I have my own house, I'll make sure its huge enough and minimalistic in design so that my doggos can go completely bonkers đłâ¤ď¸
About my holiday home...there are three more, one is injured as I mentioned in my post. The other two are perfectly fine. In fact we send ration money for them to our caretakers every month.

You have a point. But from the other side may I ask as we are 1.4 billion shouldn't WE reduce in number and let other animals also live and roam free? We are chopping down trees, taking up the lands that they find shelter on and then not even let them roam in peace amongst us.
Isn't it time that human race should be decimated? Atleast we will have more trees and more of other species who seem to know their job better than us in keeping nature intact.
Sorry, I won't be derailing this topic by posting anymore on this but I hate how privileged our species is đ
Oh and there is no way I feel sorry for the castrophe of overpopulation we brought on ourselves and caused problems for every other being on this planet. We should be ashamed of ourselves and try our best to give other species some love and respect through whatever good we can do to them for robbing them off a lot of things for our needs.
He's just gone over the rainbow bridge to frolic with some old friends but know that doggo will always be around to lick your tears awayđđ
