She looked at her phone for the 45th time. He had called around 6 to inform he that he would be late as they had an important deal to crack and they had a meeting with some investors offshore. He had called her back at 8 and asked her to go to bed as he wouldn't be back before 10. She had left early to spend some time shopping with Devika. She had planned to surprise him tonight with a lovely suit she had picked up while shopping. She glanced at herself on the mirror once again. The pale green silk really complemented her skin and the jumka that Devika picked for her matched will with the suit. Suddenly out of the blue a jolt of memory struck her.

She had found a beautiful green saree in Vanraj's cupboard. Thinking it was a surprise she had blushed in happiness and had decided to please him by wearing it. She didn't know as she dressed up happily she was in for a huge shock. As soon as he returned and saw her in that saree he had screamed at her and asked her to change immediately. He had said he was highly stressed due to some deal and not in the mood when Bapuji had questioned him. She had later learnt that it had never been for her in the first place.

She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't hear him open the door or his low gasp as he saw her looking ethereal. He slowly cleared his throat.

"This is why I love coming home to you.... somehow you manage to take my breath away every time wifey.."

She started at his voice.

"Anuj...?"

He slowly checked her out walking towards her. She felt getting undone with each step he made towards her.

"You dressed up for me didn't you Darling?"

He bent close to her and pecked her cheeks. His voice husky with want, he whispered.

"Since you have taken so much efforts to please me it is only right that I take some effort to please you too..."

She blushed at his touch and pushed him back playfully.

"Leave me na... how was the deal?"

"The deal... oh we lost it... "

"Lost it?... but.. why.. how? You said it was very important and losing meant we loose a lot..."

He placed a finger on her lips slowly grazing her lower lip with his thumb.

"Shhh... I know that these lips are capable of better things... Who cares about deals when I have such a lovely wife to return home to... Now enough talk, I have something very important to do."

"What?"

"Compliment you, my dearest..."

Saying so, he pulled her towards him and placed a kiss below her earlobe. She shut her eyes and felt her body tremble with desire at the touch of his lips. He trailed his lips slowly down her neck placing wet kisses along the way. As she melted into his embrace her last sensible thought was how she would love to get such compliments from him everyday.
