I'm talking about all religions. Not just one or two in particular.
What does religion teach us which can't be learnt anyway? Be kind, compassionate, empathy, have ethics and morals, basically be a good human being.
Why do we need religion to tell us that? Even atheists have that or can have that. Then what's the purpose of God and religion? God's only purpose is to give hope to humans in the time of crisis. It only makes us feel good to think that there's some divine being, a higher power looking out for us.
But religion is something which is way more twisted. It sets up ridiculous rules for us humans to follow which are nothing but a waste of time. It creates division and conflict between humans, which leads to other tragedies like wars and death.
Religion makes people believe in things like afterlife and reincarnation, which leads to them not giving enough value to the life they're given....and are humans really moral if fear of hell and greed of heaven is stopping them from turning into complete animals? Religion doesn't even stop that because history has shown humans have killed and are killed in the name of God.
If religion doesn't exist, people could focus more on science and technology which is much more beneficial for the development of humankind.
We can't live our life freely however we want because of religion. Its so much intregated as a part of society, you can't ignore it even if you want to.
Doesn't that mean this world would be a much better place if everyone was an atheist and religion didn't exist?
Less division and conflict among humans, They would value life more, not wasting time in worshipping God which they're not even sure if it exists or not. People would be more hard working and independent instead of believing in myths and trusting some imaginary higher power to sort their life out.
Life would be much less complicated and more sorted out if you don't have atleast one thing to worry about that is religion.
