This was a good call. It hurt, but I’ll be fine. 😆

People would still find a reason to pull down each other. World would be a better place without the human race 😆

Exactly!

If every one keeps to themselves instead of trying to shove down other people’s throats their useless knowledge, half of the conflict will be solved right there. Religion is not making them like this. It’s their own innate need to seek out conflict.

Religion is necessary for mental health and well being, you can make your religion if it makes sense to you.

But also with that, there should be an understanding that religion and religious rules is purely a man made concept.

Main thing every religion shoud teach is kindness, compassion towards the weak and innocents , like animals,

respect for yourself and others

Never harm any being

Keep a belief in either yourself or a higher power or something else, but belief is important to have hope and courage, especially in dark times

Off topic as not BW related, but just wanted to say that vilifying religion is pointless. The issue is humans and how they they choose to understand and apply certain philosophies and ways of living. The issue is not religion but extremism, any type of it. Religion can be extremely positive and healing for people wanting to find sense and purpose to their lives. There’s just so much rationality and science can explain and provide to people. The reality is that most humans need a higher sense of self and purpose to lead a happy life. Doesn’t have to be labelled as “religion”, could be spirituality or just believing in certain humanist values. But nothing wrong with religion, it’s important for billions of people so it clearly serves a powerful purpose. Nothing wrong with being atheist either. Each to their own so not sure what’s the point of questioning this?

Since the topic is still here in BWF may I put forth a query to the learned folks (I'm not being sarcastic) of IF .

Is religion same as Dharma? (In my small knowledge dharma can be of many types ex putra-dharma, Rashtra-dharm, raj-dharm etc and which dharm takes priority over other dharms depends on time, place & situation etc). My question is would the world be a better place without Dharma too (if Dharm & Religion are different)?

Many meanings to same word. Dharma is also duty. Every living thing has its duty.

My question was - is dharma and religion same or different? And would world be a better place without Dharma?
