What a beautiful episode!!
So, Abhi was calling the cops and he is talking to a detective outside to make sure he finds whoever did this. Aarohi is standing there freaking out. She says that she will make sure she isn’t caught no matter what. She looked evil in this scene, and I have a feeling she’s going to try to frame Akshu soon, as the car she dropped off was found by the driver and brought back to the Goenka household. Neil once again sees her panicking though, and he is on her nail now!! I’m sure he will going to stay on her case and somehow figure out what’s going on.
Harsh and Anupama have a spat about how its too late in her life to get married. This scene was OTT, but it really did resonate with me for personal reasons. There is no age to find love, and Anupama dedicated her entire life to her family, getting nothing in return. It’s sad, because Anupama is so similar to Manjai in so many ways, and Harsh has no respect for neither. Abhira and Manish both defended Anupama, and it was beautiful.
Abhira say that they are going to Anupama’s shaadi, so we will get more combined episodes in the future, which I honestly don’t mind!
Akshu sings piya tohse and Anupama dances. We get exact parallels to the first time she sang, with the waiter blocking his view and all. He is just as smitten today as he was the first time. No amount of time will ever make Abhira bored of each other… just like they promised each other on the date night. The dance was also beautiful!
Kairav and Vansh reveal the rings are lost, and there is a mini-tamsha. Harsh has some great one liners. But then, Vansh describes the taxi and Anupama finds the rings!
Then, we get the best moment of the entire episode. The engagement. They play the yeh rishta track in the background, which elevated this scene 10 fold, and Abhira are literally BURSTING with happiness.
Akshu goes down to her knees to express her love, but Abhi follows soon after. This is such a beautiful parallel to the confession when Abhi falls to his knees and Akshu goes down with him. There is no bending with these two…whatever they do, they will do together. They are equals in all respects. The entire family, including Harsh, smiles seeing Abhi go down too. Their love and respect for each other has won over everyone in one way or another.
Then, the lights go out and Abhi comes upside down. Again, such a stunning parallel to their confession. Jaaniye plays and he puts the ring on Akshu’s finger. From saying I love you to getting engaged…these two have come such a long way!
Harsh has a really funny one-liner about how Abhi has become a complete monkey and is upside down now.
Abhira take everyone’s ashirwaad and Manjari is so happy on the screen.
They all do ghoomar and dance!!! Including Harsh with a smile on his face!
Precap is so funny- Goenkas want holi, and Birlas don’t….Neil and Abhi come sliding in the mud and their family is shocked!! Maybe bhaang ka asar!
