so in Telugu industry most big budget films are produced and acted by handful of industry biggies. Basically there are more than 1 KJo types here. Actors belong to two major castes kamma and kapu and some Rajus like prabhas. So if one caste hero's film is releasing their caste fans hype it so much and go full on abusive against the other.

Recently during radhe shyam release , when talk that it could flop came, his fans started abusing allu arjun and pushpa movie. Fan groups are largely based on caste only. Worst fans are of prabhas, pavan kalyan, chiranjeevi/now ram charan his son.

Nepotism exist in every industry be it bollywood or hollywood or any other industry. It's sad but reality. People will favor their own people.

Problem with telugu is there are many outsiders who committed suicide due to these dirty politics. Like uday kiran for example

Bolly haters think Telugu Industry is made up of people who achieved sainthood. The fact is quite opposite though. What BW is doing today, Telugu Industry has already done it all. Drugs, nepotism, casting couch, escorting/prostitution, bullying, ganging up, casteism - I mean you name it and they have done it all! They are so tight that some actors who are way more talented either get targeted and destroyed or tamed into settling down into the supporting roles.

Now talking about the casteism. There are two of the upper castes which are very loaded in terms of money and power- which control the industry.Fans also are divided as per their respective castes. To some extent it happens in BW too with some Hindus not liking Khans and some Muslims only liking the Khans just because they happened to be Muslims. But it’s much more stronger and divisive in the TW.

Worst thing in the Telugu Industry is the Hero worship. In BW Director is the captain of the movie but in the Telugu Industry, Hero is the ultimate guy who calls all the cards- be it a superstar or just a 2 movie old starlet. The entire cast and crew will have to spend the entire shoot time satisfying the ego of this guy. 😵

There is so much more but imagine the irony when the Bolly haters hail Telugu industry as some doodh ka dhula. I toh just LMAO every time I hear such a thing. 😳😆

EDIT: BTW, just to tell you to what extent the nepotism has seeped into the system- after almost 60 years for the first time we have two outsiders who have tasted some success and having the potential of becoming the next superstars- Nani ( I think he kinda fizzled out) and Vijay Devarakonda.

This is so shocking because I thought other than UP and Bihar people didn't care about castes...😲

Temples is Tamil Industry forte. Telugu people don’t do temples (thank God for the small mercies😆)

My post above was just about Telugu Industry. South India has 3 other prominent movie industries(Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada) which also have more or less a similar work culture but Telugu Industry is the worst in terms of Nepotism.

UP Bihar people are saints in front of these people.

My college was run by kamma caste. Pretty close to Chandrababu naidu and ntr family . Management quota students had gangs based on caste. Now most Central Institutes have telugu people. Even there they ask castes. Rot is deep. Tamil kannada Malayalam are atleast not like this
