Has Omicron affected your life - Page 12

1st wave of Covid has affected, still trying to recover, lost job, then got one, then again lost it, now again searching. No idea when I will get back to settle.

Am seeing increasing presentations again . I think the last wave killed the unvaxxed older folks so this time am seeing the not so unwell vaxxed and more kids as well.

The presentations are so varied- one of my colleagues just had a sore throat while one of my patients had a racing heart rate while the other had vomiting and felt very deconditioned and short of breath.

Many of my work mates are getting covid ,so we are going to be even more understaffed than usual in an unusually busy time in our hospitals.

Where are you located? My hospital has seen a decline in the number of cases in the last month but I fear it might rise again

I don't think there is going back to lockdown and I am ok with people making their own decision about masking up - I wear a N95 when I am out and about.

No , sorry I should have been clearer , the kids and the vaxxed adults usually have milder illness- so most of them go home from the emergency department.

I am in Sydney, Australia.

This has been me since the start of the pandemic. I revel in my misanthropy and enjoy avoiding most humans like the plague.

Ya lost my dad n relatives . Some died after recovered from cov n some through accidents.. different reasons .

Ya my dad got cov after 1st dose of vaccine n recovered fully n got 2nd dose .he is fully vaccinated . He is hale , healthy n all reports normal . All going fine . One day Suddenly he got cardiac arrest n oxygen levels , pulse fallen n expired . Even doc is shocked how it happened . Dad’s death is sudden n shock to us n to our relatives , friends etc.. as it’s unexpected .
