Hi everyone,

Just wanted to say what a lovely open conversation on issues so stereo typically relevant in our society even today. A lot of people will say that a measure of looks and colour doesn’t play a part in your ability to get ahead in relationships and our careers but the sad fact is the social climb of this ladder is as hard as it was all those years ago.

Diversity and inclusion is a big topic of debate and challenge and often is left unanswered. I found the opening of the show relatable from a middle class point of view for the parents seemed to have simple wishes but also homed in on the social pressures they have from others around them. It’s not that they are bad at heart is just there need to see there daughter settled for they fear she shall be left behind or miss out on what society deems are the right choices of how one should life there life.

I did see that panic and regret in there eyes after some words were said. But one can also argue that one can spend endless hours to look beautiful but what is true beauty. No one has ever been able to answer that particular question and this is what I felt relatable to the lead of the show.

It definitely focuses on her lack of self esteem but most importantly besides wanting someone to love her she has also found that she can feel beautiful through her dreams and that drive to be more then that people see for her. For me it was emotional to see her cut her hair and openly say she ended the one thing that she felt kept her beautiful but in a way she indentified with. It’s like they stripped away that one part of her that kept her whole.

We might not say it but others always lay blame on the victim. The mother failed to see her daughter nervousness or even forgot to question what could have happened on the roof instead she was so riled up about what others thought. But that is just the thing we will never be able to make the right choices that suit all. As some one will alway have something to say.

I do believe that people always go by what they see on the outside they may not say it but there mannerisms speak for it. It’s like her own sister in stead of defending her sister look she walked aaay to save her deal on social profile. In the end she bowed down to the pressure of what is deemed as sociably correct. Not what she mentioned to her a few moments ago. She seems to be shown to immature but does know how to play to her strength and to me I found her voice not so lacking of judgement it was like she was trying to say the right words to smooth over the issue.

One could see the social bullying through that negative moment but again nothing was said to handle it. For education can help growth in awareness but acceptance comes from within.

I do love the fact that the male lead did not have a cliche meet with the female lead it was nice to see them have a normal conversation for a change. That was a nice start to the journey ahead. Would love to learn more of why the other daughter was not shown or why he was divorced to start with. What lacked that they parted ways.

Wonder how he will deal with his mothers denial of the relationship and pushes his way through to als for what he wants. Seems the sister has more of a role to play but maybe they can keep it fresh with not too many cliche.

Do hope she goes back to the hotel and shows them why she deserves to be at front desk.

Let’s see what lay ahead in the next few episodes.

Some beautiful words you have penned down here ❤️

Hello, my name is Srishti 🤗

Honestly, you showed me lots of different things that I had missed in the episodes. I would add more here but I think you have explained everything perfectly in your post 🤗

I am really intrigued to know what you think of the last 2 episodes. I personally didn’t like it. However, my judgement is just based on what I see. You are really able to go indepth of the characters. I would love to read your thoughts if you are willing to take your time and share them 😊

Hello Srishti, 🤗

it’s lovely to virtual meet you and all my friends call me Raaz. I loved the post and thoughts you and others shared here 👏so simply had to join in. Thank you for liking the view points shared I just felt it was handled well for it’s so based of judgements we allow social media to have and society as a whole. The family was cute because despite believing in there children educational growth and modern ideals they still very much allow the society they life in to dedicate their decisions. There worry is driven by the need that one cannot walk or life alone when in fact woman have proven they can very well function on there own.

One felt that raw pain in there daughters eye and the mothers regret too. The male lead also somewhat seems to be driven by his own ideals but would like to see how he deals with his feelings and his wishes. 🙂

I will for sure post my thoughts on the last two episodes, plan to rewatch and pen my thoughts once I catch todays episode. Shall I share it in the same thread? Do share what you didn’t like of the last two episodes. Would love to read your take too, 😊

I have already written down my thoughts on the last 2 episodes and what i didn’t like about it 😊 However, I have to say, I wrote it in a moment of anger so it isn’t well thought out 😆 I might edit it later on.

Actually, you should make your own topic about the last 2 episodes. I think others would enjoy reading it 🤗

Hi NM & Raaz! 👋

Hi @Dear.zindagi

Pretty much agreed on the hair aspect. A lot of people do find, I don't know what the exact terminology, but it's like a solace in their physical aspects --- with Diya's case, it is her hair before it trimmed down. She does have her own turmoils and it is executed properly so far..

The sister, I found her role something rather as a typical role with the whole jarring execution as a social media queen. It's too typical like not everyone is stereotypical or something. When Diya opened about her neighbor, Pakhi's casual response was too much. Her mother taking a stand was much better though, I found her role bit too overbearing. I also liked Diya's conversation with her father.

Even with the ML's sister, I find her a bit overbearing too.

I'm still yet to catch up on the remainder of the episodes since I'm hearing the execution of the ML seems not too typical or as you mentioned, blowing air or something. 😆
