Shahid Kapoor Questions Credibility of Critics
Its quite hard hitting, painful to watch at times. Sure, there's a little propaganda being its Vivek A....but doesn't take away from the Brilliance of the film. Pin drop silence, tears flowing & a standing ovation at the end at the theater. Tashkent Files was good, Kashmir Files is amazing.....Looking forward to Delhi Files next. It's time unapologetic, hard hitting cinema is allowed in this country.
I am waiting for UP Files too..

Meaning? Did an exodus happen in UP also? And an entire community was made to run from their own homes in UP also?

Lot of terrible things have happened in UP too.....jut because they are not widely publicized doesn't mean that they didn't happen....what happened in Kashmir deserves a movie.....so does other shit happening in UP....
BTW ....a huge disrespect was for all the Kashmiri Pandit's who were displaced was when the team decided to politicize by meeting Modi and presenting him a shawl and all that jazz......there you see...it became a propaganda movie after that.....a genuine movie maker who had sympathy for the Pandit's wouldn't have have tried to give it political mileage for BJP....by going to a polarizing PM....
The plight of Kashmiri Pandits is real and genuine and it deserved to remain APOLITICAL...

Exactly but even if it was for a rhetoric, dragging in UP or anything else into the mix is a disservice to the actual victims. If such a thing happened in UP or anywhere else, they need a platform of their own and don’t deserve to be used as a mere rhetoric to get back at anyone.
@Bold:No idea why they did that but I cannot blame them for being desperate because I can’t even begin to imagine their plight wandering around the streets of their own country as refugees with nobody paying attention to their problem, let alone solving it!
EDIT about the bold: Oh you mean the movie team? come on, we all know this Vivek guy don’t we? Despite all that, I am still looking forward to watching this movie simply because no one else dared to do bring this story to the audience. Sometimes we just have to learn to see through the fluff to get to the actual point!

Back to the age old WHATABOUTISM....this isn't about what happened in UP or Tamil Nadu or Gujarat. This is about Kashmir...lets stick to that. It's a very well made film. Everyone should watch it.

Aren’t there a ton of movies made on the atrocities committed by the Governments? Watch Article 15 from the recent times for example. But forget the movies, there is not much news also about the KPs. It’s like it never happened. Why this pushing it under the rug? How did it happen? Why were they ignored?

When people don't have answers to genuine questions ....they escape by chanting Whataboutism...and its OK....this is not a world platform where people need to stick to the topic...I am from UP...and it hurts me to see what has become of it.....why can't I bring attention to it....you don't like it ...well it falls under the category of 'suckitup'......Dude I am also very very mad about what has become of the place I was born and brought up....and I have every right to speak about it...every chance that I get..
The Kashmir Files became massive hit but why it didn’t happen same for The Bengal Files? Why did that movie flopped so badly? It was made with...
