When I had my CBSE 12th board exams - it was from March 15th to March 25th with one day gap between each exam and my practicals for Physics, Chem and Bio was on March 27th, March, 29th and March 31st and done. Got the results on May 30th.
This was in the 90s I am talking about when everything went smoothly 😆

All schedules are disorted. Boards, semeseter exams which should get conducted by december are bejng conducted in march....semesters actually look like yearly courses now.

Due to all this competitive exams are also postponed.

Education sector is most badly hit by covid.

We have problems here too but Overall federal education department has given state education departments readjust schedules and give the public schools leeway also college board which conducts SAT and the organization which conducts ACT have been easy on the students. Universities and colleges are not giving much importance to the aptitude test results for the last 2 years simply because students are unable to take them. They have been very flexible here to make sure academic year/exams/college admissions are not disrupted. This year things are back to normal. My kids have been in school in person since August and their school year will end in June and the all the competitive exams are back to their regular schedule.
It was disrupted partly here but the schools and colleges bounced back in 2021-2022 academic year.

I know also Premziee I still have better condition as Neet aspirant but JEE walon ki vaat lagi hai 1st attempt before 1 week of boards and second attempt ke dates are clashing with boards ka dates in May 😕
