Intent and perception are two key things here. Intent doesn't matter, perception does.

Aryan allows Imlie that liberty because these two were never really just boss and employee. She also lives with his family, hangs around with them and both Aryan and Imlie interfere in each other's lives.

On the eve of her anniversary, when Aryan asked her to accompany him for the meeting the next day, he clearly told her that he can go with someone else if she wasn't up for it. She chose to go and then broke down midway. He chose to give her gyaan and she chose to accept it. That day, given what she went through and how he supported her changed their equation forever.

Given their equation, they both give and take liberties with each other and, thus, allow the (wo+)manhandling.

Just like in Aditya and Malini’s equation, Aditya allowed the whole marital rape aspect to go because Malini was his longtime friend/girlfriend, even though Imlie created a hue and cry about it.

And we can safely say that Aryan and Imlie both don't go around doing this to everyone. Aryan doesn't treat all employees the same way, manhandling and interfering, so he isn't an abuser. Imlie doesn't allow everyone the liberty to touch her so, as we've seen in her interactions with Aditya post the pardafash. She's been vocal about not being okay with him touching her.

So, in the case of these two, it isn't so easy to simply call it workplace sexual harassment.

A woman can still be uncomfortable even if she does not vocally express it. ASR and Imlie's relationship is not one of equals because she is dependent on him. She lives in his house, works in his office, is financially and otherwise indebted to him owing to his many favours. ASR owns Imlie, just like he owns everything and everyone else. With such a wide power differential between Imlie and ASR, it is simply not that easy for Imlie to say 'no', even if she is uncomfortable with his proximity. Imlie is not in a position to vocally express her displeasure because she is beholden to ASR.

ASR is aware of this power differential, and he gleefully rubs it in her face, like today when he asked her 'Tum kya kar logi?' She doesn't have the power to refuse him, professionally or personally. However, the power differential between her and Aditya is not so wide, thus she feels more at liberty to say no to him.

Therefore, no matter how many liberties they allow each other, ASR is in a position superior to Imlie. Thus, when he physically or verbally harasses her, he is consciously or unconsciously subduing her into following his will.

There is a mental facet to harassment and abuse. It isn't simply a matter of consent. Sometimes women are not in a position of giving consent. That's where it gets tricky.
