Should SLB Do A "Mafia Queens" Series?

I haven't watched Gangubai Kathiawadi yet, but it's plain to see that it's a big hit, both with the general public and the critics.

This makes me think- should SLB take a break from the historical romances for a bit and make more movies like this?

Because for those who don't already know, the book from which Gangubai Kathiawadi has been adapted is called " Mafia Queens of Mumbai" and includes stories of many other real life female gangsters, some of who's lives sound pretty interesting as well from what I can tell...

So basically, do any of you guys agree that making such a series of films would be a good idea, and if so, do you have any ideas for good stories/casting choices?

I suppose but I also want Bollywood to stop glorifying criminals.

I can't say anything conclusive (because as I mentioned, I haven't actually watched the film), but from what I've heard from reviews, others who've watched it and seen from the trailers, this movie doesn't seem to be glorifying/glamorising prostitution or any other type of crime at all.

It seems to have been made clear that Gangu didn't choose this path intentionally, and she is shown being brutally abused, cut off from her whole family, and never finding love again due to being in said path, so I don't know how that is "glorifying" what she ended up having to do...

YES! It's a great book.

Or Vishal Bharadwaj should. I remember he wanted to make a film on the chapter on Sapna Didi with Deepika. I really like Vishal's storytelling but SLB adds his own touch.

Yeah I was initially surprised SLB was making a film of this nature because this is well outside his usual area of work, but looks like he has done a great job 👏.

That particular story you mentioned is extremely shocking as well as heartbreaking and would honestly be perfect movie material, but idk if anyone in BW would be brave enough to actually make a film based around it for obvious reasons...

I have always wondered about this classic Madonna song (La Isla Bonita). It's iconic and SLB copied it in Guzaarish. It is shameful that he used...
