I won’t say Manav has a patriarchal mindset. If he did he would’ve stopped Akanksha from working. Even when it came to Vaibhav he warned her, only when he realized things were going to far did he stop her.

Yes, he didn’t cook much or help around the house, but he was always around for Yathu. Even after saying he won’t make it for his first day at the new school, Manav did make it. 

When it comes to Yathu, Manav is a hands on parent. 
Even when Akanksha was leaving, he didn’t force the marital vows or social pressure on her.

If anything, I think Manav is a pretty balanced husband
