Veronica (Cocktail) had a heart of gold: agree or not?

Veronica from Cocktail (2012) had a heart of gold. She helped Meera without expecting anything in return. It was Meera who backstabbed her and broke the bro code, and obviously, Veronica had a meltdown after that. But inherently, she was the most selfless/giving human being.

She didn't deserve Meera and Gautam jaise shitty people.

She was the only character I liked in that movie.

Meera was inherently selfish, no matter what anyone says. Those who say Veronica and Gautam had an "arrangement" and it was not a romantic relationship, but whatever it was, you don't just kiss the person ur best friend is sleeping with, no matter how blurred lines are. It's just something you don't do. It's one of those unspoken, unwritten things which consolidate the "bro code".

Veronica did have a heart of gold. She helped other women, took in strangers, and didn't judge them. Saif and Meera were absolute jerks. Veronica forgave them.

Deepika doesn't help other women. I really can't see her taking in strangers. And boy, she makes snarky comments about others all the time. I doubt she's forgiving.

I have mixed feelings…yes for bro code but can you really help feeling how you feel towards someone. I’m someone who would most likely repress my feelings not to hurt a dear friend but if I was in Veronika’s shoes I’d give them my blessings too as I have too much self worth to want a man who doesn’t love me. People who truly love themselves and feel a strong sense of worth would agree. And I believe in freedom so preventing people who are in love to be together because I can’t have the man is very selfish too. The situation would be different had they both gotten married with children, but their relationship had never been deep or super serious, let’s be honest.

I like Veronica but hated the movie. She helped Meera when she had nowhere to go and didn’t know anyone in a strange city.

What I didn’t like in the movie is I didn’t feel the love between Meera and Gautam. I didn’t see any chemistry between them and I couldn’t understand how all of a sudden they were suddenly so deeply in love with each other. I couldn’t care less if they ended up together. I wished Veronica ditched both of them at the end!
