If I nominate an old story whose author hasn't visited the forum in ages, can you migrate the story to FanFiction forum?

When you migrate the story, is it possible to migrate only the story and leave the original story and all the corresponding comments in the forum it belongs to?

I am sure organizers would explain better. But as far as I know Migrating only creates copy of the original thread and it doesn't take anything from the forum itself.

If you migrated a thread. The story and the thread still remain in the forum along with the comments .

I thought I read somewhere that we have a choice of removing the comments from the original thread and moving them to FF section. I could be wrong.

I will wait for a reply on migrating a story which belongs to someone else who stopped visiting IF.

Hi Raji,

You can nominate the story. If the author is inactive, our FFEs can migrate it.

And yes, the original story and the comments remain in the forum where it was first posted.

I can migrate only 1 chapter, and leave ALL the comments in the thread itself.

We (FFEs) can't remove comments from og thread and shift them, we just copy them 😇
