Perspective is everything! What is right for one may be wrong for another.

I am positive that there will be an episode on this. She has to face baa and tell her that she is moving on. Let's see what she says then.

I recall seeing this in the show - in one of the instances when baa told her that ladka aur ladki kabhi dost... she had given baa the example of Kanhaji, Radha, draupadi etc. and ended it by saying clearly that, at the moment she has no feelings for any other man. But if & when she does, she will accept it and also confide in baa surely.

"IF" Anuj had not been in love with Anupama, perhaps Anu would still think of him as a friend? I dont know! Similar to Anuj & Devika's equation, I guess.

Her confession, though verbose 😉, touched upon all the relevant points about social expectations and norms and her own traumatic past!

Like you said, the fluff aside, I am very proud of the character arc Anupama has been given. Yes she does slip every now and then, her need for approval from Baa gets on everyone's nerves...but fror someone who has seen the show from the start, her journey is truly exceptional and inspiring

I am just very satisfied to see her to happy....if there is any character on ITV which deserves all the happiness in the world, it is our Anu😳

Sayu, if you ask me, the issue is not about remarriage or friendship. It is about individual choice and agency. There was a time when Anu saw Anuj only as a friend and did not bend to societal pressure to marry him bcoz a man n woman cannot be friends. Now when she is in love, she is exercising her right to fall love in middle age.

She is making her own choices and doing what she wants at any given point. And that is what os most important, isn't it? Whether it is about relationships, career, or anything else - every person should have the freedom to live their life on their own terms
