Stretched into a Black Hole

So this Haseena death track, yikes! Started somewhat brilliantly
(except the unrealistic survival of Maddam Sir - yaar they could've atleast shown that she got thrown out of the car before it fell, but ok I can deal with it)
BUT holy hell they've made it possibly the worst track so far.

What I think the CVs went through:

Initially: Haseena's death will be a dramatic plot twist to invite new audience, plus opportunity to bring back Anubhav whom ppl apparently loved, plus opportunity to show Karishma's emotional avatar, plus opportunity to show all MPT characters' bond with MS. Once she returns as Urmila we'll have some suspense for the hard disk and criminal, and then back to normal.

Once ppl appreciated, TRP rose (and actors loved their new character changes): Haseena can keep being Urmila and solve cases like Haseena, Anubhav can buzz around randomly like a bee so he still looks mysterious, Karishma can continue being in depressed brain-fog mode so she will not get any closer to the culprits.

Now the mess: how to keep Haseena finding new ppl to suspect and new ways to get caught on purpose but then not get saved, how to keep Haseena trying to secure the hard drive without actually securing it, how to keep Karishma looking for the murderers without actually finding them, how to keep Anubhav involved without overshadowing Karishma or Haseena

And the khichdi that has been created is so so disgusting that I force myself to watch for the few mins of comedy that sprinkled like candies throughout each painful episode.

Honestly, I don't think it was too hard to avoid the mess if the writers had taken inspiration from legit spy and crime thriller stories. There are so many little plot devices they could have added if only they researched and planned out this track better. Right now they only have one thing to work with - the hard-drive/pen-drive (and the ludo-playing goons I guess...but now even they're gone). There is no other clue, trail, nothing. Just coming up with possibilities just off the top of my head:

- they could've opened Mira's system and found an ip address of the hacker -> get to location -> it's fake place but they find another clue there...

- they could've traced backwards from the bag and the hard drive to find the spy who brought the hard drive (cause rest of MPT didn't know about him)

- they could've researched the spy and figure out how he was caught by the criminals

Etc. And I thought of this in minutes, what are the writers writing all day?

Writers might've thought less clues is a good thing since they can show that the criminals are harder to catch and thus drag the track. But its worse because the audience wants the leads to make atleast some progress, especially if the leads are police! But with just one object, any actual progress will mean case solved. So now we have that neither the case can get solved so fast, neither the leads can make any progress...and basically you've turned a potentially amazing main track into a slow painful death for loyal viewers.

I don't think writers and actors realize that the TRP rose because ppl wanted to see
1) How Karishma and team can survive in the absence of Haseena (as in, the absence of her smartness - not just bringing her back with a different attitude but same involvement in solving cases)

2) How the mahila police can solve a legit serious RAW-level case with sheer brilliance, teamwork, and a hint of sensitivity, despite limited resources

People love Urmila because its a break from Haseena's dominance. You seriously can't make Urmila, a street vendor, have the same dominance over Karishma and take over her cases. After 2 years of consistent failure, now even I don't think Karishma is capable of doing anything. I've been rooting for her ever since the show started but really she's a huge disappointment because writers always show all her actions to turn out useless.

I so wish someone would write a fanfiction on this track and show how it can be done. I know some ppl are loving the Anuseena and Kareena we get rn, but I don't think I can feel anything for Karishma until I see her "kaabiliyat" for once, and I don't think I can ever accept Anubhav until he stops acting mysterious all the time.

Sorry for the super long post, it's my rant from the last month of patiently waiting and waiting and waiting for things to get better.

EDIT: PLEASE any writers out there, someone please write a fixed up version of this now-pathetic track.

as someone who was never fond of haseena, the start of this track genuinely shook me. the scene of her death, Karishma's traumatic response, Santosh's wanting to believe it was a bad dream, cheetah's expression of grief to Mira, Pushpa ji's heartbroken response, billu tear stricken face hit me right in the feels. so I was looking forward to how it all pans out.

dont know what the CVs were thinking but honest to god, I thought they were going to use their cyber expert's specialities and find out who hacked Mira's system- Mira an artificial intelligence bot/Andriod. for every other case, even if it shouldn't be possible, they manage to use those cyber tactics to nab the perpetrators. so for something like this it seemed like the most logical course of action...which didn't cross their mind at all?

I couldn't care less if it led to a dead end. the point of contention is to try it. I could excuse it initially because everyone was overwhelmed with grief and understandbly so. but after an entire month, forget everyone, Santosh did think about it once? or if they did, we have no indication of it.

also, why isn't Karishma and anubhav revealing the entire hard disc fiasco to the rest of the MPT members? aren't they also part of the mission to catch the culprits? I am sorry but did I miss something where they weren't supposed to be involved?

and why is anubhav brought back and how has he impacted the storyline? other than of course, giving the viewers mixed signals of his 'ehsaas wala pyaar', declaring it time and time again, sneaking into the house of a supposed lookalike and trying to get her confession of being his ehsaas wala pyar. even the clues he got was from Karishma.

if he ain't going to do anything then give his screen space to the other existing characters and make them do something useful.

Karishma and Pushpa Ji standing at the back when urmilla was riling up the house helps and discussing how wearing maddam sir's uniform has made her sensible was just bandi itne hints de rahi hain, ab toh samaj Jayo yaar.

the little comedy bits here and there are what keep me from totally dropping the show. all these solutions you have provided are amazing. if only the writers thought in this direction. here is me adding on to the list:

1) go through the phone records of the ludo playing goons/the dude who had the hard disc in the first place and check the most suspicious one.

2) stage a play for the hard disc to be stolen and nab the culprit.

3) get some intel from the Interpol department of where the goons were hiding out. raid the place find new leads or something.

I am not sure if I like the changes in the characters but let's see what happens after the revelations.

more than the viewers I believe Karishma is feeling way more frustrated with herself - amazingly showcased by yukti in the episode from two days ago If I am not wrong. but yeah, I agree with you on this point.

copying this form what I posted on another thread, I would love to write an FF on that if I didn't already have two pending ones that I have been procrastinating to finish off. but maybe when the truth comes out, ill do a one-shot. lmao depending on the execution of the revelation (if it doesn't live up to my expectations) I would probably be compelled to write one either way.

Totally agree, especially the criticism for anubhav. I was never a fan of his mysterious loitering-everywhere-uselessly character, and this track has only made it worse. Waste of screen space completely.

I don't think I'm a big fan of the character changes either, particularly karishma. I love her emotional side, but her constantly depressed mood is getting to me now (amazing acting by yukti, I can feel her sadness from the screen). And haseena's overacting as urmi is also getting a bit annoying now because I can't see a purpose for it anymore (though hats off to gulki for enacting 2 diff characters in a single dialogue).

Yea karishma is definitely super frustrated at herself, but I felt that outburst was long overdue cause the writers have shown her as incompetent ever since the show began. That amazing monologue by yukti felt like karishma fans screaming at the writers for what they've done to her character. She couldn't solve cases with her laat, and now she can't do it with jazzbaat either?

Where are these FFs please! Lol I'm desperate to find a good one that's not on Anuseena or Kareena as a couple (yea I think they are like friends or sisters too, I don't get how some ppl see their 'sismance' as a couple thing but sure its their choice).

I don't think I'm a big fan of the character changes either, particularly karishma. wholeheartedly agree with this! other than Karishma, I can't help but be bothered by the loss of santu's innocence and cheetah flirting. my comfort ship 😭 but the thing that really gets to me is this baseless act of urmilla at this point. I went back and checked; been at least 32 episodes since the 8th of January.

Yea I forgot Anubhav has grown one more annoying trait in this track, that ehsaas wala pyaar. He seems to become one shade worse with each entry hahaha.

Definitely miss the natural comedy that the side characters used to bring. Now the whole comic burden is on Urmi which I guess we're all getting fed up with.

It's going to to dead end with haseena and Urmi topic. I mean they have awesome actors and give them awesome script to hit TRP and to increase the popularity of show.

The Anubhav in current did not have that effect, most expected scenario by anuseena fans were not shown .

They repeatedly bringing stupid cases rather than the proper action like misson Jeet.

all that you have mentioned is true.

they have an extremely talented cast that can do wonders if given good scripts. even now, they are somehow making this mediocre writing work somewhat bearable with the bits and pieces of comedy inserted here and there.

what exactly were the fans expecting though?

the cases while a trademark of the show is kinda irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. it's like they are trying to do a 'status quo is god' without actually doing it.
