So, hypothetically, even for a family based show, why would it have been worse (or less sanskari) for them to have shown Abhimanyu just kiss Akshara gently on the lips to move the romance forward instead of the sweaty ladder rub down? Would it have been that much more shocking?

Let's say I'm watching with an 8 year old - it would be so much easier to explain the kiss (natural affection between two people in love, plus even a child understands a kiss is a sign of love). How the heck did parents explain the ladder scene?? I don't get it...

Exactly. Like after some meaningful emotional scene, talk etc.like Indira said..kids wouldn't even need explanations for that, it would just look so natural and right.
