I think it's good decision as they can have only 4 overseas players in a match.So no point in spending hefty money on them. Also many times these foreign players denies coming if any important National series is around the corner so it causes problems in the team if any important and costly player remains unavailable.

Last year many ipl teams suffered as some pulled out due to covid concerns or world cup T20. Atleast Indian players won't pull out that easily due to fear BCCI
