I am in no way giving reason for his actions.He would still be egoistic,manipulative but usne baat ko alag sense main liya..and he tried to control Monami so that she doesnt go against him,like his wife..but life full circle aayi and she again chose what her mother did..

I hope Monami ke mother ke baare main aur explore ho..

So Walnut-Monami should have a showdown and Monami should say in anger that maine sach bol diya toh u wont be able to tolerate it..

Truth being that Monami's mom suffered from ptsd at that time but she couldnt speak about it and she knew her husband wont understand..she didnt want to leave her daughter but it became too much for her..She writes a letter to Monami saying that she is sorry that she wont be with her anymore but she will always look after her from above..(Monami could be 7-8yrs old at that time)

When her father comes to know about his wife's death,he refuses to believe it was due to PTSD because he sees it as a weakness and he blames the Army & Army people for her death..(refuse to accept that he could have helped/supported her)

Monami ko baad main pata chalta hai(few yrs down the line) maybe unintentionally from her mother's friend..she thinks ki agar uske father ne required help or support di hoti toh her mom would be alive but she doesnt make an issue out of it kyunki she is that suppressed Monami

That's why she even understands ki what Karan went through..

Finally she reaches a breaking-point when her father tries to break relationship with Karan amd she lashes out saying that he never understood what love,mutual understanding & support is..

all he thought about was his money,legacy & reputation uske aage kuch bhi nahi..

She always wanted his love & acceptance but finally realised ki jo unke paas hai hi nahi woh cheez usse kaise dege..

That's a very good track. I would really like something like that. I have kind of mixed feelings about a Walnut redemption path, and I would like a good dynamic between Walnut-Karan which would be interesting to see. And this kind of allows for that too.

Instead of Monami's mother writing a letter or her already knowing this, I would prefer it to be a revelation to her. Abhi ke liye, I think Monami is just a little girl inside who's craving for attention and approval from her father.
If this was the case, she would maybe have some ill feelings emerging and be on her lips, especially since she's much bolder now. If she was actually angry toh she wouldn't have so readily agreed to accept him back in his life.

But that's a very good track. I would prefer ki use iske baare mein koi idea nahi ho and jab pata chala, that's when she contemplates on things she had seen as a kid, her mother waking up from nightmares, lost hona, maybe fights yaad aaye where the root cause was her PTSD. And she is angry and sad and wo apne Dad ko sunaati hai.

Could be the final full stop of Walnut track or could spark a Walnut redemption track and show a track where Karan-Monami are both struggling to accept him in their lives and Walnut struggling to fit into their lives and accept them like they are.
