i rewatched tvd again and now again i love them both equally lol..its weird i am noticing things again and i realised stelena is just as toxic as delena but i found them more beautiful to watch in a relationship delena's relationship sucks as julie is a bitch and she doesnt know how to write also i realised stefan is just as toxic as damon but in different ways

Stelena was toxic? when? (my brain just forgot every bad stelena memory 🤣)
I actually love the edit. I have followed Kat for as long as I can remember :)
stefan saved elena before s1 thats really good of him and i get that he was intrigued with her appearance but he was a vampire who had serious blood issues in the past but he still inserted himself into her life knowing it could be dangerous for her( i know the show wouldnt have started without that but he was selfish as he wanted to know her though i agree without the salvatores elena wouldnt have survived)Originally posted by: Monstuholic

my one problem with stefan was his dishonesty like i am obviously not asking him to say the full story to elena but he missed out on a big thing that is not telling her that she looked like katherine he should have told elena about her in the first instance when elena asked for the truth even when elena accepted stefan he lied to her about drinking human blood in the miss mystic falls episode he knew how dangerous he could be but he was still around her and constantly lying to her
i know delena has that whole bend my morals shit and it was exhausting but she bend her morals for stefan as well stefan staked vicki in front of elena who was matt's sister but still she wanted to be with stefan she lied on his behalf and obviously let it slide as she loved him she didnt even question stefan about digging up her past or lying to her about katherine stefan almost drove her off wickery bridge and she forgave him instantly it is never ever brought up again stefan killed andi elena didnt even care when damon showed her stefan's list of vitctims in chicago she turned the statement and backfired it on damon saying he did a lot of horrible shit too which showed she held up stefan to a pedestal and he could do no wrong in her eyes
now when stelena broke up in s4 i couldnt take elena seriously due to the sire bond but stefan did project his issues on elena even if he didnt realise it..it isnt normal for vampires to drink animal blood and as we see with stefan in the long run it doesnt help...what stefan did to jeremy was so wrong i get that he wanted the cure for elena but going behind her back not even telling her that klaus had kidnapped jeremy was so wrong of him then he forced jeremy to kill more vampires to find the cure after he realised she has deeper feelings for damon..i get that klaus asked him not to tell anyone but he should have told her as it invloved jeremy which was the only thing holding elena together
tbh when it came to jeremy both the salvatores treated him like shit damon killed him once almost killed him again he kidnapped him along with katherine and hit his head on the car to get anna to talk about the person who could kill klaus...stefan was relatively better but the way he acted with jeremy in s4 was terrible jeremy trusted stefan thats why he went to him
thats being said stelena>delena for me because julie plec ruined delena's relationship damon and elena had an understanding which was not purely based on lust but she ruined them in s5 she dismantled stelena with the stupid doppelganger connection and showed it as an obstacle that delena overcame because they are TRUE LOVE which is ridiculous the whole doppelaganger thing was filled with inconsistencies which cheapned stelena's relationship and they didnt even bother to explain it properly just gave a line to stefan saying "what we had was real" and damon got on my nerves due to their relationship i understand his insecurities in s4 but when elena chose him he was still so insecure about stefan and they kept on milking it with the doppelganger connection like just stop man delena got on my nerves when they were together

no comments on when Elena and Stefan broke up after she had turned into a vampire because I literally have no memory of a major chunk of it.
About the beginning of the show, Stefan was in control, he didnt consume human blood and was surviving on rabbits. If you think that he was dangerous then, well, I dont think so.
In twilight, it was Edward who was dangerous in that regard.
and about the whole blood thirst episode in season 1, I didnt really think that he was at fault, he didnt think that Elena or Damon understand his ripper tendencies. But yes, given how mature he is projected to be. It was a mistake to lie to Elena.
I still dont put it in toxic behaviour
Elena, I actually didnt understand that why didnt she flinch when she saw how many people Stefan had killed, but then I presume that she had put the blame on Klaus for that episode. Well, I had too. But then, I also dont blame Damon for feeding on humans and killing them for food. He is a blood thirsty vampire.
Vicki episode, it was important to kill her, she was actually trying to kill Elena. At that moment, I too had blamed Damon for turning Vicki in the first place. Vicki was also not her friend, both detested each other. Elena stood for Caroline because she genuinely cared for her and also Caroline had not tried to kill anyone.
About the wickery bridge, I was so pissed at Stefan for pulling that stunt, whatever he says, it was not right and yes I am quite pissed that no one brought that up later.
About Katherine, well, who would tell his current girlfriend that she looks exactly like his ex. It was a red flag right there though.
About looking into her past, he had mentioned that he found it spooky as to how much she looked like Kat and that's why he had looked into it. But also, I think the adoption news was so big then that she just overlooked the fact that Stefan tried to dig into her past.
bold:i think if he's willing to insert himself and get involved with her because she looked like katherine but still was nothing like katherine, the first thing he should have told elena when she asked for the whole truth that she looked like katherine a relationship cant be healthy if such a big fact is hidden and stefan was wrong to hide about his bloodlust issues to elena he was in the delusion he was doing fine but he really wasnt and he was bringing danger to elena when he was around her in school and drinking human blood...this is problematic behaviourOriginally posted by: Monstuholic

i hated the wickery bridge incident but i hated the fact that stefan didnt even properly apologize to her in the next episosde when elena told him she kissed damon he said"i shouldnt have done that it was way too far"like what the hell what kind of an apology is this and why was he saying it after she told him about kissing damon which triggered his emotions

that's the thing, if Stelena wouldn't have been problematic, no one would even think of Delena.
But yes, Stefan couldnt have told Elena about her look alike and his -ex, people dont do that
btw stelena and delena aside did you like damon's friendships ?i liked watching his friendships but never loved them as i always felt he was getting much more than he was giving..the only damon friendship i genuinely loved was bamon(they stole s6) as bonnie wasnt so forgiving she held damon accountable and when damon ditched her in s7 mid she didnt forgive him properly before s8 mid
i hated damon and liz as i just cant get over the fact that liz was friends with her daughter's abuser she didnt even know about that and it tainted their friendship for me i am not asking the writers to make damon hate liz but why give them a friendship
damon and alaric were fun to watch but i always felt they werent that deep yes damon liked, trusted alaric and missed him thats why the rant at his grave but he never really thought about alaric's well being ever his words never affected him in any way (like stefan and elena hurt damon and in return he wanted to punish them but that was because he loved them so much it was weird but yes and with bonnie he truly admired her and took her words seriously)
i have always liked stefan's friendships better like lexi and caroline they seemed to be an equal thing and gave each other as much as they got in return and i hate that they destroyed stefan caroline's friendship their relationship could have been so good if written properly it always felt like stefan settled for her
