I understand anuj shouldn't hand over everything to mukku only to be misused by vanraj. Its about his hard work and sacrifices but I dont believe he is doing this because he wants to run away from the problem. Makers had given hint for this track during Christmas episode, the way he tried to give everything to mukku then, the long conversation between maan in the next episode about how money is not important, all this was preplanned.
This is so anuj kapadia, yes he is smart businessman but when it comes to his loved ones he will sacrifice everything. This is the anuj we fall in love with. However impractical it sounds in real life but anuj did love anu for 26 long years without any expectations and his love didn't change when he met her as a mother of three grown up kids with age shadowing her physical beauty. If anuj kapadia was a practical man then he would have never wait for her.
Practicality/emotional thinking is not a switch, it cant work in some matters while not in other. Its basic thinking process of a man. From loving anu for 26 years to funding her more philanthropic less business suited idea of all women restaurant, from blaming himself for his parents death to living in the guilt of marrying mukku to wrong man, for never onxe forgetting that he is adopted, anuj has always been this emotional, sensitive man. If he was practical then none of it would have happened. So he is being himself in this situation too. Yes we are not liking it this time but he is anuj we all loved. Pure hearted, good soul, free from treachery.
And about most of the indian audience buying that bait if money being mitti..well, its what they and their ancestors have been taught since beginning. India being a country of great sages and rich spiritualism, no matter how much people progress and get influenced by western school of thought, the indian values will always be deep rooted in their heart. And not to forget, in bigger scheme if things, money is indeed mitti. So yes, audience will buy this track without a doubt.
If this sacrifice will led us to anu's confession, maan marriage and them being away from shah circus for a while then I am all up for this track. Mukku can rot in hell with her raj with all the business empire, which i am sure, will be ruined by vanraj very soon. Its just that most people always keep complaining that they dont have enough funds or else they would have been millionaire with the talent they posses. But when they actually have it they realize they never had talent in the first place. Same is with vanraj.
The issue is not in him sacrificing his wealth for his loved ones. That was not the issue atleast for me. Yes we fell in love with the same Anuj who waited for Anu for 26 yrs but right now this is not about what Anuj is capable of. The makers have already established that I have made my peace with it. The issue here is only thing..handing over everything to your sister who right now is not in mental state to make sound decisions for herself. Mukku is someone who is not grounded and anchored (as claimed by Anuj himself) or even sorted in her own head. She let a man whom she has known for 20 days mess with her head about a brother she claimed to love more than anything in the world. If I am Anuj, I wouldnt interfere anymore in her decisions but being a parental figure and being the responsible and composed one, I wouldnt hand over an empire knowing she will not be the one making decisions and will ultimately lead to her downfall.. if there is no hidden plan behind all this execution of his, I would actually call this out of his charac arc.
