Have said it many times before and will say it again.. the vloggers have and still take advantage of Parakshita... what these two have given them.. content.. they took and spun a story that there is more than friendship between the two for views and subscribers. I honestly would not have thought there was more between the two if it weren't for Neelam, Nawaz and Arpit's commentary. If there is a season 2 i would like the channel/makers/writers to consult us for a good story. ISHQAAN'S story remains incomplete.. their individual flaws are left unexplored and there is so much more that can be shown on how the two realistically make their marriage work while maintaining the original romantic dramedy genre of the show. Actors and crew clearly have the ability to execute.. it just all comes down to whether the makers and channel/platform are willing to take the risk.😛

TRP being calculated looks like (TS/Duration) * Reach, where TS is time spent.

So very bizarrely IMO, if the channel removed ads altogether, probably making the viewer watch all 30 minutes of the show for a particular day instead of them potentially switching channels mid-way, they'd have higher TRP's? (so Anupamaa and Ghum here could go as high as 5.7 and 5.0 for TRP because TS/Duration in such a case would be 1)

If so, it probably explains why some shows (especially in their first episodes) air without any ads- it might be an attempt to get high TRP's initially.

yeh rishta is so boring that I couldn’t bring myself to watch a single scene today. How is it so high on the trp ratings??

The first episode was of 30 minutes. Adding 4 advertisements in between.

Yesterday's show was almost 21 minutes. With 4 ads of almost 3 minutes. So, if calculated it becomes 24 minutes.

So if they increase the time for 2-3 minutes, the total timing will be of almost 23-25 along with the ads.

I watch on HS too- there's practically no serial that I watch on TV- saves me 10-12 minutes of time and allows to skip the scenes I don't like 😃

SGP's watch time to duration ratio is poor though- perhaps the poorest of the lot. But also an indicator that a tighter script might see folks tune in for longer.

Would've loved to see this data during IPZN time- wonder why it is so secretively protected.

Dream sequence I think, but it might be a marriage to bolster the TRP's?

Anyone else still find it odd how in IPZN we never saw Ishqi or any of the characters pray to a hindu idol... or AVM actually tie a mangalasutra around Ishqi's neck or put kumkuma (not sure what it is in hindi) on her.. they totally disregarded those scenes.. i've never seen that done in any other indian language show... the show gave more importance to AVM's ring.. sorry.. watching a scene from ram's show.. and realized part of me enjoyed it.. maybe its my age.😆

I would have liked to have seen ipzn pull off such scenes without the drama.. achieve the right balance.
