Sonu had song many hits till 2013 and he had the pull and thats why he was called to sing agneepath , dabang 2, or many songs during those times like tere shirt da main button from kya superkool hain hum etc...and if sonu hasn't the pull the truth is no one else had it, arijit got popular in april 2013 with aashiuqe , before april 2013 there wasnt anyone who had monopoly ....everyone was doing work here and there ,,because every kind of music was happening around this time , from sonu to all new commer everyone was there ,.. , around early 2013 unfortuantly the tussle started and he lost his songs ,,and Sonu was in mainstream till 2013 and that is why he had recorded for big film unfortuantly got dubbed , else if his version could have got the release he could have retained his popularity ,,,,now you deliberatly want to put down sonu to satisfy your perception is your issue , why doesn't a KK, or a Shaan called to sing in those films why Sonu was selected to sing it in be it main tera hero, kick , heropanti , yeh jawani hai diwani , heartless, because he had the pull , music director wanted sonu but perhaps the company was not ready to release ,,,,,,,,,, Music directors wanted to retain Sonu version but were forced to dubb at behest of music company ....Jeet ganguly said in one interview that we cant make decisions its all what the music company decide is the final decision

and to answer your question yes sonu is not only the one , but sonu suffered maximum because label turned his enemy so you know not only T Series, Sonu was banned in Zee music too ,,,,Sonu was given hsi break by t series so they can get personal with sonu only for that time singers ,,, zee music claim that we made sonu nigam what he is today as we have given him sa re ga ma he got his identity though the shows ,,,, so u see they cant do this with others singer Sonu initially started with both of the labels ,,,..,likes of sunidhi shreya kk shaan came very late ,,,and yeah Sonu is instrumental for sunidhi chuahan her first break and sunihdi always talk about it
