You had asked me a question on the other thread. I am unable to find it. Have been trying for the past couple of days or so lol.
Here's the answer:
Yes Kashmiri is very different from Urdu and Hindi though Kashmiri muslims and hindus as well do use a few urdu terms such as Bhaijaan, Mubarak, Salaam, etc.
Umar and Asim's pronunciation issues in Hindi are mainly because of their mother tongue.
And yes mamta was right, there's a lot of hugging and kissing on the forehead, etc. in Kashmiri households.
Most Kashmiris can't really speak hindi with full mastery.
For example, tum theek ho in Kashmiri is vaarey?
