No, he hasn't tackled the patriotism movie that I know of, but he tackles problematic movies which become pop culture phenomena. They absolutely should be.

Back in the day, AIB did a video called Harassment Through The Ages (link below). By your criteria, those movies should be beyond bashing too. Aamir offered a quasi apology for the song. SRK openly mocks the movies he did. Neither is a *young Bollywood fan* who thinks his is the smartest generation.

Sexual harassment is a different topic and serious, nothing like that happened in KKHH or any of the other popular movies he bashed. If anything he hasn't really focused on the old popular movies that showed a lot of sexual harassment and even glorified rape but instead chooses to focus on rather harmless movies like KKHH, HAHK or even KHNH. Rather bizarre.

Still waiting for the Kabir Singh video too which was popular in this day and age with a far more problematic MC than any of the other movies I mentioned.

Compared to other stuff that happened in 99% of 90s Bollywood movies (and earlier) that's nothing, hell even tons of western movies had "staring at girls boobs" types of scenes just a few years ago (it was not considered to be a bad thing until metoo etc.). Still those scenes should be called out but again he bashes those movies in every way, not just the supposed "problematic" parts. He generally dislikes them and the fact that they are popular, otherwise he would bash far more problematic movies where female characters were treated like garbage and actually harassed, raped etc.

I have never seen SRK bash his old popular movies, he admits they were over the top but that doesn't mean he dislikes them.

So? Until he bashes other movies, SRK movies shouldn't be bashed? Which would mean no movies can ever be bashed because hey, one person cannot bash every movie possibly.

Sorry, bud. I am an SRK fan any day, but it's mostly not because of his movies. I like how he is a decent human in real life. He is also a good actor depending on the movie he does.

But I will never ever condone the blatant sexual harassment which passed for romance in some of the movies he did. My identity as a woman/human comes way, way before any fandom for me.

As for the channel, I 100% agree with what he is doing. Picking some movie forgotten in 3 months ain't gonna do any good. You should always pick on the one which does the max damage. ie, movies like KKHH and DDLJ which normalize sexism and harassment in a way open criminality does not.

Tell you why Rohit Shetty movies are difficult to bash. They don't take themselves too seriously. But the Yash Raj-Dharma camp does. So does Hirani. That silly movie called 3 Idiots is lauded as a game changer . It was an entertaining movie, but the ideas represented were as ridiculous as Zoya Akhtar's in ZNMD.

I like how Ankit reviews the movies for fun.. but that doesn’t make me dislike the movies either. Still adore them and watch them again and again. No wonder SRK hasn’t released a single movie for 4 years and still is the most wanted actor in the whole world as per Parrot Analytics research done on online streaming platforms.

I would still take KKHH, which has innocence and a sense of simplicity that yet stands unmatched apart from its nostalgic value (it might be cringe but it’s a good kind of cringe) any day over the boring forced deshbhakti suryavanshi kind of stuff that Akshay does. It’s just pure garbage and nothing else.
