A negative Aditya, basically a continuation of living Aditya, would bring her back on course. Imlie was actually doing okay with an alive and safe Aditya. She was crying, but she was trying too. Minor setbacks withstanding 😂. Like even when she got the bomb defused, she didn't run over to him. She won't cross that line while he's alive. But in death he's become "her BS" again.
I don't like him dead because she will just worship him and his family. Now that Malini isn't in that house anymore, there won't be anything holding her back from making that family her everything once again. That is if the T's don't divorce her first for "failing" to bring him back.
I guess it all depends on how they play it from here. But I would hate to see an Imlie letting yet another "religious marriage" she doesn't want determining the course of her life. This is her chance to reverse some narratives and I hope both she and Aryan take it. If there is something symbolic, with genuine feelings behind it, that allows them to progress as they are, that I can get behind.
Also I feel like Imlie does genuinely like Aryan, and PD and Aditya MIA nonsense derailed that. So I would like them to bring Aditya back so that these two can continue falling in love, while Aditya and Malini continue creating "shipping" scenarios for Aryan and Imlie 😂 which is what they do best.
See, right? There's no justification for an Arylie marriage, rn. It's just her socialisation working against her worst nature. But I see no logical way to continue Aditya's character. Right now, Imlie will happily go back to being his mistress. That thing which he asked on mirchi kand will come true . "Ham Malini ko bol denge ki woh sirf hamari zimmedari hai, tum Aryan ko chhod do." There would be no plot point to move his jealousy forward. The idea of his death brought out the worst in her. Death triggers revisionism, anyway.
I don't want them to get married like this, but, eh it's going to happen. What I think should happen is neither of them taking the marriage too seriously. She shouldn't move into his bedroom and all that jazz. I don't want her to change her name or something. Aru too doesn't have that toxic proprietary nature. He won't randomly go "Imlie Aryan Singh Rathore" whenever it's convenient to him.
But a subconscious boundary wall be drawn between jija-saali. Also, Arylie office interactions will be so fun to watch.
@Libran— I agree that it won't stop her BS-ing, but it'd stop her from going back to the Ts, and that's the point here, methinks. Also, it's an important vehicle to turn Aditya negative. Don't see how else he could turn negative given he saw both Aryan and Imlie try to save him.
