The honcho of Nadigar Sangam has hinted that action might be initiated against Asin for not turning up for the protest organized by Nadigar Sangam against attack on Tamil establishments in Karnataka recently. Radharavi had said that those who did not turn up for the protest had tendered an explanation for staying away from the protest. However Asin has not responded. you know what i think? i think asin cannot be bothered with kollywood anymore. she's apparently too busy in bollywood with the hindi remake of 'ghajini' & the hindi remake of 'pokiri'. i mean why should she bother to give an explaination for not attending the fast? it's not like kollywood gave her the big break. not at all.

however if asin is banned from doing tamil films, i won't be too bothered. i mean she's already showing zilch interest in our industry after shifting to bollywood.. what's the point?

one advice to asin.. if your bollywood career doesn't work out you'll have to come back to kollywood and if kollywood shuns you at that point of time, you have no one but yourself to blame.😊

The news is that a number of these actresses came up loads of excuses (written too) for not taking part in the fast. They say, even school kids can't come up with such hilarious reasons for absence.

Monisha (the girl who was vadivelu's pair in Imsai Arasan) says that she slipped and fell in the bathroom - as a reason for not making it to the fast 😉 It seems the Nadigar sangam found this esp. funny!

monisha.. that is really a lame excuse! you can do better. how about a concussion? then that way you can say you forgot there was going to be a fast that day.😆😆 gosh.. these people are unbelievable. did monisha really think the NS was going to buy that?

some actresses prefer to lie & come up with ridiculous excuses while some like asin can't even be bothered to make up an excuse.

tsk tsk.. these people could have at least tried to give a valid reason for skipping the fast. i mean we're talking about the same industry which is their livelihood for heavens sake. that's really irresponsible..😔

I don't think asin has any movies in hand, in kollywood right now unlike kuthu ramya aka divya who is now in trouble 2 continue her shooting in Varanam Aayiram 😕

I think Asin is in " I-dont-care-what-the-heck-happens-in-kollywood-attitude" coz she proly thinks that she will become a sensation like Sridevi in bollywood!!! Tsk tsk..even if her movie with Aamir becomes a hit...she may not get the kind of fame she is hoping to get..

Kaarthi, I shud say she did make an impact, most heroes rooting for her and all tht, and she has quite an impressive fan base for sure. And I wud say her NAILS are beautiful......I mean, such lovely , well manicured nails aren't seen much in kolly, most actresses go for artificial ones....half of them don't grow them either.Seriously, I just love to stare at her nails. 😊

😆😆 Yes, but her impact wasn't exactly in the acting field was it, dits? Dunno about her nails though.

When Asin did not turn up at the Chepauk grounds for the hunger strike, everyone knew that she would have to come up with a really convincing explanation to avoid the consequent one year ban. The Nadigar Sangam asked Asin why she did not attend the Kollywood hunger strike. Asin explained that though she had plans to attend, she had been unavoidably detained in Mumbai, where she was attending a programme for which she was the brand ambassador; hence she could not join the other fasting actors at the venue. The Nadigar Sangam was satisfied with her explanation and she was not penalized for her absence.
