Not sure how I feel about this surrogacy thing. When I hear someone went for surrogacy I feel they lost some beautiful experience to give birth.

Surrogacy became like easy way to get babies without disturbing your routine or figure. Extreme cases where you cannot give birth is understandable but for other reasons like not to disturb you life style but want a kid so you went for surrogacy then much say they lost a beautiful experience

She's 39. There is risk involved when it is elderly primiprara.

Congratulations. OBs would normally caution about later pregnancies. It's a medical fact women have to live with, unfortunately. I'm just saying she could have made an informed decision after weighing health pros and cons. It need not be about figure.

Agree she smokes and drinks that definitely effects baby in pregnancy.. and their life style has to put on hold to have a healthy baby. So as you said weighing all health pros and cons she might have went to surrogacy.
