It's a little difficult to discuss the idea of going abroad to study without referring to the character involved because as far as I can see, it's not the concept of going abroad to study that is the issue. It's the fact that it's Pakhi wanting to go that is the issue. She is in love with the idea of going to America and hasn't processed the realities involved. That is quite clear. Leave aside a clear goal, she doesn't even have a nebulous notion of what she wants to do once she gets there. Given all of this, I don't see anything wrong in the makers approaching this topic in the way they are.

Honestly, no parent will be very keen on sending their child to a foreign land just like that.

I think it's important to decide and have a goal set before going so far away, so Anu's concerns seem valid to me atleast.

This is not some foreign trip that pakhi is going with her friends.

Plus, all the expenses, and one has to be a little responsible also because they will have to do all the work by themselves there, and incase no relatives are present there, so, obviously as a mother Anu will be concerned about Pakhi, I don't find anything wrong in this.

Anu was not discouraging pakhi on the basis that going abroad is bad.

Honestly, in her eyes, pakhi is still immature and just a child.

And if pakhi says that I want to go abroad, without any goals, or anything in mind on what to do career wise, so it's mainly just the American dream of wanting to explore and enjoy.

And money doesn't grow on trees, you can't just send your kid to a foreign land after so much of expense, and not even ask your child to be a little clear with what they want to do in their lives?

She is wanting to go to an entirely different continent, so, as parents it's important to know that is your child really wanting to go abroad, or it's more of a peer influence and just for the sake of it.

Is it really aligning with your child's career aspirations or not?

The way Pakhi was dancing and saying Hollywood, Disneyland American dream ussi se pata chal raha tha that she is not serious. Uske muh se ek baar bhi nahi nikla USA jaakar studies karungi aagi pahuchugi. And jis tarah se Mukku was saying mere aur Bhai ke contacts hai theek hai contacts hai but kahi na kahi Vanraaj and Pakhi were behaving like ki agar financial difficulties aayi to Mukku aur Anuj to hai hai expenses bear karne ke liye Billionaire jo hai.

Pakhi's age is just 16 ye Anupama ne 1 week ep pehle kaha tha. See she is not yet adult. Anu is right usne usse bhejne se mana nahi kiya , today she said kya usse abhi jaana chahiye.

I don't see anything wrong about parent having expectation of a goal from their kids and then a plan to achieve it. Yeah, people without any goals may end up decent but that doesn't make having goals or such expectations invalid. Nothing is wrong with the message for me
