I used to despise Alia with a passion but am neutral towards her these days, and I have no idea how that remarkable turnaround came about to be.

It could be cuz I have been avoiding her interviews and sticking to watching her only in movies, and movies alone. She isn't that bad but the overexposure and KJo's stupid promotion tactics didn't give people a chance to assess her objectively without all that pukeworthy annoyance, I think.

Hate is a big word. Personally, I simply find some of the Bolly VIPs insufferable and/or despicable. I still haven't warmed up to Alia - yet another dumb industry plant who's giving the irritating, "I'm such a star and everyone's in love with me" vibe most of the time. The arrogance of some of the male stars... Ugh. It's even more despicable than starlets' pretentiousness.

I think everyone saw it when they watched the movie. The actor didn't fit the role at all, it seemed unlikely Aish's character would fall in love with him and his acting was just so bland. Dude dragged the whole movie down

Originally the director wanted Aamir to play his character and that would have been way better (but obviously he rejected since he didn't want to play second fiddle to SRK).

I cannot believe there was a time on this planet when directors and producers thought Chandrachur Singh could be a romantic lead, and that too opposite Aishwarya Rai of all people. 🤣

Yeah it was a bizarre casting choice, even as a kid I realized he was lackluster and always wanted to skip his scenes lol. No offense to the actor but he just didn't have the type of charisma and appearance needed for such a role. Worst part is how he got all the good songs (really like Haare Haare and Hai mera dil churake le gaya) and his romance with Aish's character was really important
