Trp down once again

So this week trp is 0.8 which is 0.1 lower than last week. I expected more trp as we got good tharab scenes this week, but I geuss two people can't save a show single handedly. Yah timeslot is bad but at the same time SSK2 is getting 1.6 at 6:30 time slot. They even got 1.9 a few weeks ago but thapki's highest trp was 1 and it telecasts only 30 mins earlier, so we can't blame timeslot that much. I actually think there are other reasons; first of all, l have serious problem with TPK2 choice of actors. The only actors I enjoy watching in TPK2, are tharab, dadi, thapki's uncle and aunt. Rest of them are overacting or can't act at all. They don't suit the character they portraying, especially hansika. It is funny how the cameos were better in acting and actually more interesting to me than fixed ones. I really liked actors playing rohit and armaan more than many of current cast. The second reason is the parallel stories the makers wants to force down our throat. In which, they terribly faild as it's obvious that audience don't give a f about the triangular love story of sagar or sargam pregnancy track cause people were never interested in those characters in the first place. None of them have the power to bring new audiences for show. The current story is miles apart from the original storyline which was about a stammering girl who couldn't even talk properly but wanted to become a great singer. After marriage thapki totally forgot about her dream and became a full time bahu trying all the time solving her sister in-law problems in the most stupid ways. We all remember how much thapki was eager to takes part in veena devi singing audition before marriage, so what happened to her dream and passions? I don't think show lasts long if makers don't take drastic actions. What do you think? What you like and dislike about the show? What you wish to see in future?

The show is shouldered by ThaRab, and the side track they thought of is totally disgusting. Better if they had Anshul's romance that this PSP triangle.

There is absolutely no progress to the story, (if there is one) just multitude of festivals and events with Hans plotting in each one of then. Major revelations like Taps knowing about the bride swap, about Han's involvement with Rohit all were made useless. These days Purab is giving mixed signals!

The characterization of the support characters are most times senseless and totally unacceptable. Though the PH resolving every issue that crops up between ThaRab within a couple of episodes, I feel though it is s good thing for ThaRab fans, it also gives me a feeling of the writers just jumping around with no planned plot line. It is like they are just presenting jumbled incidents rather than a story ( more like bonus chapters , which are life snippets, after epilogue than a real story). As I have mentioned repeatedly, the show doesn't have a definite plot, not earlier, not now. One couldn't even give a synopsis of the show coz there is and never had an underlying or basic storyline.

Taps if you ask me wasn't shown as a person who had ambition or dedication to be a singer. She is blessed with a beautiful voice and an inborn sense of music. Even in the earliest episodes she didn't have a drive to achieve a career as a singer. Her giving the CD to Veena Records was coz of compulsion from Ashok and Anshul. She is just a do gooder, favoured by the Goddess.

These days Purab too seems to begin a lazy mood. VD too has nothing to do... All of them seem to be following WFH. The music background is slowly becoming a unused prop. If you ask me the writers are just throwing in random scenes, with no homework done on how the music industry works!

My rant is going to be never ending!! The PH is throwing away something that could have become a wonderful show with no proper plot.
