He will push her and teach her to prioritise khud se khud ka rishta first and then family or anybody else. In this tussle poor ak will get sandwitched and her sufferings have just started. Abhi will make her the sherni Naira that we all would want to see but gradually and overtime. Now she is the nani akshara version before marriage, shy and docile.

Now Ak has to chose Abhi to save him from Arohi. She knowingly can't throw him next. This confrontation is needed for her to burst. Even if Abhi has no proof his mindset is that he can't marry Arohi.
