BTW I have a friend from South India...and she told me that most people are watching Pushpa because of that 1 dance by Sam.....she has no reason to lie to me....and also after I heard KRK's review about how bad and brainless the movie is...this might just be true that Sam's dance is the crowd puller..😆

It won't matter in this movie. He will love it whether he likes the actors or not.

Aww, that's true though. The film is an average fare at best. But when Sam comes on screen, it was like wooow.

Telugu-Tamil etc.. is even more controlled by movie families, Nepotism-Star Kids and all the peccadillos that affect all industries world wide, if your "pop and mom are Lions you are expected to be Born a lion cub and act like one" GET OFF the victim wagon, What gets you opportunities is your talent, your drive and you luck. More star kids flop than not in every entertainment industry including Hollywood because they have no talent.
The problem in India's film industry is more complex than "star kids" a lot more complex...
I saw Pushpa and it ain't no work of art! If that's what is expected to rip apart all other filming industries ...well then the viewing public is s c w r . . . d
South industry is minor leagues

The item song certainly added to the hype but no movie can become this successful just because of an item song. That makes no sense.
Shit like Tees Maar Khan wouldn't have done badly at the box office if that was true.
The film worked predominantly coz of allu arjun and his performance and to some extent the songs became popular
He has the reputation of being a good dancer and performer in most south states and even some of the north audience who has see his films
His bankability helped the film and when a good dancer gets some popular songs , it helps the film
The item song ain’t the reason for the hype or sustainability

Exactly, giving the item song all the credit does a disservice to Allu Arjun & the movie in general
Nepotism is everywhere not just in film industry.
Telugu film industry is full of nepokids or people with family connections with huge production houses.
Any star or producer has the freedom to make movies with his children. But only the public acceptance will keep the nepo kids in business.
Mahesh Babu's elder brother who passed away recently was a failed actor/producer. His father Superstar Krishna tried very hard to prop up his career but people just didn't accept him and he faded away into oblivion. His younger brother Mahesh babu is one of the biggest stars not just in Telugu but almost entire India is aware of him despite him not working outside Telugu language films.
SImilarly NTR's sons and grandsons entered films but only one of his sons and one of his many grandsons were able to make a mark for themselves.
It is in audiences hands to watch whose films and they make stars.
Not all the failures can be attributed to Nepokids.
Hindi film industry seem to be producer/production house driven. We don't get to hear about the technical crew behind the films they make.
In South every director is a brand on his own similarly music directors cinematographers and writers come with their own brand values and these people cannot be dictated by the producers and that's the reason why better films are coming from South. They realised the value of the technicians.
