Fahmaan surely has grown a lot in terms of his craft!
True that
I love the points you’ve made. Especially with regards to Aditya.
He’s seen what’s there from the beginning. His overreactions over the tiniest interactions between them have maybe not been overreactions because he can see something between them that perhaps he knows was lacking in his own relationship with Imlie.
He’s so threatened by Aryan and you’re right, he’s got good reason to. Because Aryan and Imlie are in complete denial about what they could be/are to each other for the reasons listed above.
I love the connection you made between the “dil” comment and her going to the T’s. That is a great connection. Cause it was clear that it affected her - thus her interactions with Aryan.
You know, I’ve been thinking about it and I wonder if no thank you because they’re at work, and the murti is their personal life. I know Imlie appears to push more than she should at work, probably due to her comfort - but also her lack of experience in a formal work setting. But they are quite intentional about keeping things business at the office and only get more personal when the clock stops. Even any barriers crossed during work hours are under the guise of work.
Since you seem to be in healthcare, would be interesting to hear your take on the doctor checking Arpita's BP and then declaring her cured of pyrophobia entirely...😁😀😁
That was seriously funny!
You cannot imagine how much I laughed after watching that scene
And a general practitioner or even a physician is incompetent in commenting on something like that.
Not even a psychologist but a psychiatrist has a right to comment on that but only after a thorough evaluation over a period of time.

Ikr! So funny though.
On a side note: I started watching the currently airing medical show recently and was amazed at the quality. The entire set-up, cases depicted, prpfessional interaction between the medical characters, the pronunciation of the terminologies etc are so on point and brilliantly executed too. So surprising for ITV.

Man this Aryan is going to have to face a lot for Imlie. Unfortunately, as the one that comes after the first, he's going to have to pay for all of Aditya's crimes against Imlie.
For me it's heartbreaking for both of them. Because it's not like Imlie is happy being this way either: a total hot mess.
And then a part of me is a little happy when Aryan does all these little things for her, and she takes it for granted. I don't think she's had the opportunity to take anything for granted before if I'm not wrong. I don't think Aryan expects a whole lot in terms of gratitude. Her living well is enough gratitude for him. "If you just stop running after Aditya, you can do/have anything else you want". (This is good enough for him right now, we'll see when he starts to want more 🧐)
When it comes to being treated properly and being "thanked" I feel like Aryan will have to demand that. He will "shut up" her a lot for sure. As we've seen. Like has to literally reach into her space and mind and tell her to snap out of whatever it is that's happening.
Whenever all the poison Aditya and the T's left in her starts to bubble up and hurt her (and him at times too), Aryan will have to be the one to act as a shield for both of them until she learns to do it for herself too.
You know I’ve been thinking as I’ve been working away on other stuff here about this. And it’s not that I don’t feel sorry for Imlie, she is young. To her credit I do see her making strides at moving forward. Like when she told her mom that it was too late, when she was thinking about what her mom said and just thought it would be best if he moved on and she moved on.
Here’s what I think about Aryan in all of this. I don’t think he needs thanks. And this might be projecting because I genuinely get joy out of helping and doing things for others, I don’t do it for the thanks and it makes me uncomfortable when people do make a big thing of it (or even a little thing). But it’s like you said, he’s just happy if she’s happy.
What makes me hurt a bit more for him though is that he is genuinely such a loner. He’s got no one to turn to. Yesterday my heart hurt for him so much, I know there will come a time when she will give him the love he deserves (and omg, just thinking about these two fools in love, admitting it to each other, having intentionally flirtatious and romantic moments 😍), but while we wait for that my sympathies lay with him a bit more.
I was going to say much more but then I lost my train of thought 🤦🏽♀️
seriously he helped a puppy also how can anyone call him inhumane he also goes to orphanage to spend time with kids!
The way she looks at him in that last scene though - that was the first time I was like wow, she’s falling and she doesn’t even know it. It was subtle. Each of the times before then when he’d shown her just beneath the surface but that moment she couldn’t contain it. It’s one of my favourite moments.

Tagging both of you here because I am lazy. The more and more I see this show, the more I am convinced this is what they are trying to portray. I think it's very apparent how much Aru is feeling for Imlie. But what's subtle is how fast Imlie is moving towards him. It's apparent to everyone else— especially Aditya.
Aru has many reasons to keep Imlie at bay; he's her boss, her mentor, not to mention his revenge and her BS-ing. He considers her age as a deterrent too because he's decent like that.
Imlie, on the hand, has no valid reason to not fall in love with him apart from socialisation. She knows very well that she can fall in love him.
Narmada's comment was the first time someone had brought in 'heart' into their equation. Everyone else was just accusing of her being a gold-digger which she could conveniently ignore because it's not true.
She got affected by the "dil" and that made her retaliate by going to the Ts, advocating for BS-jiju and needlessly fighting with Aru to keep him at bay.
Her words were very harsh but she's a 19 and any harm to Aditya will be traumatic to her. I see her vitriol as an anxiety response to the very traumatic situation.
I agree with this Neelu, especially the bold parts. But I also think that there is a cultural and lifestyle difference might I add.
Imlie has been raised in utmost poverty with the added depravity of being an illegitimate born. People find it so hard to see beyond that and have poured filth at her throughout 19 years of her life. So accepting filth is nothing new for her. She is giving and easy in loving because she has been raised by that kind of a woman. But she is tough and strong because Dadda has made that contribution. She may not accept, but woh ladki pyaar ki bhooki hai, to agar kahi se bhi thoda sa mile, it pleases her the most. And Aditya and Ts were her apne in the sasural sense. So whatever she got from them, she can still accept. But Rathods are no one to her. They aren't related to her in any conventional sense. So accepting anything from them is difficult for her per se. But giving is what she can do, because she is so large hearted. She just needs the guidance to help express her emotions in a controlled way for the person in concern. Hang on to it and not give away everything.
Coming to Aryan, that guy has been raised with conventional acceptance of society with lot of love and care and affection and he genuinely has so much to offer. Honestly, the siblings have been raised well. But Arvind's death wasn't as impactful as what followed his death. Living in a home of zombies someone had to take charge, and other things within him took a back seat. The only thing which has given him strength is his anger for Aditya and it has kept him going. But, Imlie has made way into this small circle of his, and something else has began to matter to him. Also, men find it difficult to navigate their emotions unlike women.
Hence my conclusion, that whatever Aryan feels for Imlie will not come to the fore unless Imlie takes charge of her feelings and expresses the same to him. But Aryan is so coiled up in his shell, I am not sure he will fess up even when Imlie takes the courage to, and it will break that girl's heart. Hopefully Imlie helps him to ease out his emotions for her.
